Good morning, dear marchies!

Quick question - how many of you with noa2 received a letter from NVC with case number and next steps?

Our attorney says we have to wait until we will receive. And I have no patience left for another waiting line :(

I haven't seen anything from the NVC yet. Anna and I both got an e-mail from the embassy with some documents attached, next instructions (a link to the embassy website) and our NVC case number within hours of case being marked "ready."

Don't worry. Even if you don't get an email or letter from NVC, once you get the case number they are going to advice you to start working on the DS-160, so I can't imagine your lawyer keeping adamant on still waiting for the letter, and there's not really much more to do until the Embassy contacts you, since sure you already have the rest of the documents ready :)

Nope, we haven't even started to prepare any documents.

And as I can see our attorney do not see any nessesity in begignning of this process until we will receive mail from NVC

Just hope for the best outcome in this situation and fast moving next steps.

Life has been so hectic with a new job and preparing for travel that I have no time to check VJ, but hopefully things have been good for the March crew!! Just wanted to let everyone know my fiance received his packet from the embassy a few days ago...he is having his brother bring it to him since he is still stuck in his hometown taking care of some family affairs. I know some people have asked if an actual packet gets mailed or not, so it seems that with some embassies it definitely is the case.

Sadly, we haven't been able to book his medical and embassy interview yet because there is a hold-up with the getting the address listed on his ID documents updated. He needs the ID documents to request a new passport/police clearance, new passport to submit the DS-160, DS-160 to schedule the appointments, etc. We expected all of this to be sorted well over a month ago, but you can't have too many expectations with India! haha. Good news is that I'm leaving in 11 days to spend five weeks with him, so we can spend a long time together while getting everything sorted out! :)

I am an Indian beneficiary and our receive date was 29th March, just one day after yours. We got out NOA2 on 08/08. Still waiting for NVC status to be "Ready" to start application.

I recently got my PCC in anticipation of the approval. I had to change my address on the IDs as well but ended up not having to use the ID. Let me know if you need any information about that.

Hope you enjoy your trip to India :)

I called at different times. Twice I called at 11PM eastern and once at 9AM eastern. The late calls went straight through. The morning one had a 20 min hold time.

I would let your attorney go and just do it yourselves. Its not a hard process but that is just my two cents. I honestly think lawyers are a waste of time unless you have a criminal record or something. Of course that is just my personal opinion of which I have many it seems. LOL

Have you got the police records or anything needed for the embassy at all? Got the papers needed for the affidavit of support? Cause if not, you are just gonna be waiting a lot longer. My fiance started getting everything together about a week before our NOA2 and will have it all ready to send me next week. I already have all the papers I need including my police record and filled out the DS-160.
