Been doing some research and just found out about the NBI clearance for philippines.

Do any filipino March files have any experience on this subject as to when my fiance apply or if it is still needed in 2017 applications.?

Thank you

It's not hard.

Look up your local congressman or senator ( try this:  https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials  )

When you find them, try to find a local office near you. NOT the office in DC.

Call them and explain you want to do an inquiry.

Most likely you will get transferred to an immigration specialist.

They'll likely tell you to download a privacy act release form from their website. Send that form and your NOA1 to them, then wait.

Not all offices are as useful as others. If one doesn't do anything, try the other senator or your district congressman.

Why not Dc.? ....i plan on contacting the Congress womn for DC

Sorry, I didn't realize you're in DC. That's a special case -- DC is your local office.

For states, the people that are actually helpful are generally located in the local offices, not the DC offices.

The local offices job is literally to help constituents and have staff dedicated to helping with things like this.

Same here if I can help.

My fiance doing her NBI now online.

I was just telling her about the DS160 form also that she needs to fill out.

Is there a way to check online if the NVC has received our case?

Try calling NVC first to check if USCIS has forwarded your case to them. Just ask if they have your case #. Have your USCIS number on hand because they will ask this along with the petitioner and beneficiary's name and date of birth. Once they give you your case number, you can track your case at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspxeQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Letter of intent to marry.  Simple fix

On august 6 we emailed csc and told all our frustrations about the case. I even said there to let my email message be seen and read by an officer. I told them how its taking so long and that it will reach the 5-month period the next few days. So I asked them if they could give us a real update about our I-129f petition. On august 11 We received an email from csc (see attached  image below) and that was their response. It gave me hope, that at least they are now working on it, I suppose. So I waited and hoped for a good news coming the whole week and it never came. My fiance called uscis and spoke to a tier 2 officer and he said right now no officer was assigned to our case yet, andy f said well u guys said its currently adjudicating and he said back well im not sure if its sitting on an officer desk right now and waiting in line or maybe its still on the shelves. My hope was immediately dropped from 100 to zero real quick. I just dont understand why they would send us as an email as response to our inquiry telling us our case is currently being adjudicated and then tells us differently now saying our case was not assigned to an officer yet. It made me so confused! Someone please enlighten me. They are so inconsistent. We got our hopes up when we received their email a week ago and when my fiance called this morning I was crashed. 😭☹️IMG_9953.thumb.JPG.f5d7201bb306d707f13587b1f1f7d697.JPG

Yes, I been calling them everyday. They are still saying its going through "necessary administrative processing ". Very annoying seeing others cases sent off the next day or so

Yea! Mine was received by NVC 8/1 case number assigned 8/2, just TODAY (08/18) changed to "in transit" so you're not alone in that boat!

Hey guys, finally after 17 days of our case being at the NVC it says "IN TRANSIT"!! Very happy 😊 I just had a question, it says "your case is in transit to the consular section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center" a bit confused, do they just pick an interview date for us and how do we find that out?

This really sucks, you guys :( I sympathize.

We got an RFE last June 2. We replied and they received it June 16. It's been two months and still no word. We also did a service request and they sent us the exact same message you guys got! We spoke to Tier 2  as well and he said he has no idea if they've approved us or not and we can only wait. He also said he knows how it feels because he went through the exact same situation with his Japanese fiance. lol

AOS Timeline: Camie (Beneficiary)

June 23, 2018:             Filed AOS (we waited until our savings reached above poverty guideline since we both moved here from the PH with basically nothing)

Aug 20, 2018:              Biometrics (I asked to reschedule but USCIS never sent a new date, so I did walk-in.)
Nov 5, 2018:                Received RFE for I-864 joint sponsor
