I got the DS-160 filed and have the confirmation number ready but I couldn't book the interview date, it says "case not ready" when I try to. My NVC status is "at NVC" still so I guess I gotta wait a little longer before I can pick the interview date.

Me too - my case is not ready yet either since its electronic I'm sure it will be ready this week if not tomorrow. My file was in transit today.  It has to say ready before you can email them etc.

It goes from AT NVC to IN TRANSIT to READY...

ya that's a good idea.. mine was ready right away though. maybe they didn't tell you the correct#? did you get an email with the #'s?

If not I would call and double check your case # aswell so you aren't left waiting.

It is the correct number, I called them twice. they were able to give me an invoice number using the case number.

Just heard back from my Fiance who is in Montreal for her interview...and our visa is APPROVED!!!

It's her birthday tomorrow and I am flying out at 6:00 am for an extended weekend in Canada. We are going to spend the weekend in Ottawa and go to a water park there, but what better birthday present than being approved?!?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D:D:D
Ain't that an amazing - but unbelievable feeling? :D:D

Oh, and fun fact: Her and I got the same birthday gift! Ok, I got it as pre-gift a week ago, but my birthday is tomorrow as well! :)
So tell your fiancé unknownwise Happy Birthday from an also approved birthday mate in Germany! :)

Mine was date June 15, 2017 and we had our interview today. I also pulled pay stubs from end of May into June. Bank Letter was dated 6-16-2017 and I pulled a May statement from my investment account. Just to give you a bit of the time frame...

Awesome, I'm probably good if I prepare all of that now. Thanks again!

And she had no issues at the Consulate, though she had did forget her Birth Certificate at the hotel! Thankfully she realized and was able to get it in time for her interview (stated just a block away from the consulate). I think you should be good with your appointment.

  • Petitioners full name & address
  • Beneficiaries full name & address
  • Was it our first marriage

This process has been stressful post NOA2

My NVC case status says "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you already have an interview appointment scheduled, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Present your appointment letter at your interview. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at"

Then I got an email today "We received an approved I-129F petition. Applicants for a fiancé(e) Non-Immigrant, Category K1, and K2 visas will be required to schedule an appointment through the Visa Call Center at"

I called the embassy yesterday and all I was told was to send an email for more info, my fiancee went to the embassy today and they told her the interview date should be on the letter which I havent received.... not sure what to do at this point and im getting frustrated

Also when I search for my case status i have to select "immigrant visa" and as far as i know a k1 is a non-immigrant visa. Its pointing me to fill out a DS-260 and i-864

Go to country specific forum and ask the question there if you have not already as each embassy has different process to some degree.

You can get the DS-160 done NOW that is for sure. Unless it is completed already.

Thank you. Yes thats the only thing I can conclude that I need to complete the DS-160 at this point and pay the fee. Then ill call them to see if I can schedule the appointment
