Just heard back from my Fiance who is in Montreal for her interview...and our visa is APPROVED!!!

It's her birthday tomorrow and I am flying out at 6:00 am for an extended weekend in Canada. We are going to spend the weekend in Ottawa and go to a water park there, but what better birthday present than being approved?!?

Woohoo this is wonderful news! So happy for you both. :D Sounds like the best birthday present EVER!!!!!

Mine was date June 15, 2017 and we had our interview today. I also pulled pay stubs from end of May into June. Bank Letter was dated 6-16-2017 and I pulled a May statement from my investment account. Just to give you a bit of the time frame...

What did they take at the interview for the affidavit of support? Did they take all the stuff? Chris is almost done filling his out and hopes to send it to me by the end of the week or later next week.

I used this

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx    but I think I had to select where I applied first. Let me take a look.

You can check the history of your travel to the US here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

mine shows 85 records since 2012 so I just entered some of the last few into the DS-160, like a couple of trips this year that were a few days long. I didn't enter in all the day trips.

Thank you - I did use that aswell! I just wasn't sure how many they needed.. it does say "all at the top" so I put all that were on the I-94.. it only goes back so far:)

I did, but it says your search did not return any data? is that normal?

They took the following along with the actual affidavit:

  • 3 recent pay stubs
  • letter from employer
  • letter from my bank (I actually have two accounts with direct deposit but only gave 1 as i was well above the threshold and the 2nd bank was charging to pull 1 year of deposit history. F that noise)
  • Most recent year for my tax transcripts (we had 3 years, but they only took the most recent)
  • My investment account statement (which was probably superfluous)

I only put in what I have done since last fall so about 5 or 6 times. We used to go across all the time as we live 6 miles from a border crossing. Mum and I are heading to the International Peace Garden on Friday but we don't have to cross through the US border office for that.

Thank you !!! I put everything from the I-94 form but it was a lot.. I said better safe than sorry but I agree the last few would make sense I just got a little worried because a the top of the DS160 screen it said list ALL and I was like holy smokes.. because not all of them are on the I-94 I mean it goes back to 2013 but I know I was in the USA before that. I just left it at that though.

I'll check tomorrow, the NVC just received my case august 14, that was literally 2 days ago almost 30 days after NOA2, maybe they just assigned a case Number today.  I will check tomorrow

MY FIANCE JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM THE NVC!!! I looked on the case tracker and sure enough MY CASE IS IN TRANSIT!!! EEEP

filled out the ds-160 last night... took me super long like an hour! yikes.

I got the DS-160 filed and have the confirmation number ready but I couldn't book the interview date, it says "case not ready" when I try to. My NVC status is "at NVC" still so I guess I gotta wait a little longer before I can pick the interview date.

ya that's a good idea.. mine was ready right away though. maybe they didn't tell you the correct#? did you get an email with the #'s?

If not I would call and double check your case # aswell so you aren't left waiting.
