Hey guys! I feel like maybe I'm missing something? My case has been at the NVC for like two weeks now. Am I supposed to do something? I mean, it just shows "AT NVC" and I guess I thought that maybe it would go to the embassy rather quickly as it has been for others. I'm wondering if it is because our case has to go to Caracas-Venezuela and the situation there is not so great right now. Anyone have thoughts on this? Also am I supposed to fill out anything right now such as DS-160 or DS-260? Help please

HA!  They know who they wanna talk to everyday, and an approval will just mess up my daily calls.  So they have to keep me around

They're getting better and better at delaying the inevitable when I call.  Today it took me 14 min and 14 seconds to get to Tier 2.  (brand new call center rep and she was definitely going by the book and scripts - rookies!!!!!)

My record is 5 min and 6 seconds to get to Tier 2.  I'm bragging, but that is pretty good considering the loops a caller has to go thru HAHAHA

By the time March 2018 Filers List gets started, I'm going to be the resident expert in how to call and get no results

It seems the NVC cases have been hit and miss lately for case movement. You're supposed to be notified when the case number has been assigned. DS-160 is supposed to submitted after it has been received at the embassy. I don't think the situation in Venezuela has degraded to the point where it will affect your case. As long as diplomatic relations remain in tact you should be okay.

Called and got my Case # from the NVC today. Called the embassy in Honduras to get some pointers on what to do next and they refused to talk to me about anything w/o my fiancee's passport #. ####### they never asked me for her passport number on the i-129F so I dont know what they needed it for.

Did you ever write your senator? They are working on expediting mine. They have been in contact all week after the CSC office lied about when they received my petition. I am so over this process it is driving me nuts.  Even when I get the NOA2 I have to re-plan everything accordingly. Whole summer...gone

I contacted my Senator, just to make sure they have not lost my file or something. They sent in a request that I wanted it expedited.  Which would be great, but not exactly what I was requesting. I then got a letter listing 7 reasons why to expedite from my Senator. One of which a 501c3 Non-profit reason which I am the CEO of one in. So I called two weeks ago 7pm eastern time, after my senate office was closed, to USCIS to see if I went that route to get expedited what would I need to send and i talked two a tier two person, who i think was a tier 1.5 as he just typed some things in but did see where my Senator office was in contact. On Saturday i got a Informed mail i just knew what might be our NOA2, but when i opened the letter was a note saying my case was with the senate division, and I would need to contact my staffer. Called him yesterday and he says too write a letter, list all your 501c3 information, how your fiance is going to help with the nonprofit (administration and Marketing Volunteer, we all are, how it benefits the USA (we have outreach to the homeless), how you feel about your relationship outside the 501c3 etc, with 501c3 pictures. 

 

I have not done this yet. It seem as more and more NOA2 are getting approved with similar dates as ours, even thought A LOT is getting approvals in April. We will wait another week.  Hope she here before Christmas when our events to the homeless really get busy.

In case anyone else runs into this issue:
I just called NVC since it has been a week to double check about the name misspelling. I was told that it does in fact get taken care of at the embassy because they only have the cases for 2-3 days before it is forwarded to the embassy. 
Oh, and they don't have my case yet!  lol

My dear March Winers I am happy to say that we were approved on August 14th! 

Just randomly checked case tracker right now and it says "case was approved"!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!! I just can not believe it! Happy and barely can breathe!
