Maybe you should sneak over to the Russian subforum and ask there what Pack 3 and 4 are specifially in Russia. :)
It's very embassy specific as it seems! Also the order of scheduling medical and interview. Better ask there! :)

I guess it's ok. I thought it's something important but it seems like its just an email that tells you how do schedule your interview. Since my interview already scheduled and they sent me my appointment confirmation I think I'm fine :)

Congratulations.  This is why we are all here, to get our F home :D A POE post is always the best post, as another crosses the finish line.

btw, I used to have a Holland Lop.  Nicest bunny, absolutely loved attention. I've always wondered what kind of bunny yours was but never asked.  While you are at it, What is Minky????  So Adorable!!!!

Aww, aren't you the cutest?

Can't wait to see your real pictures:)

I have a question about getting married. According to the K-1 guide here, you should apply for your SSN 2 weeks after the arrival, and it takes them another 2 weeks to give you the number. Is that correct? You are not the first person I've seen here who is going to get married sooner than 4 weeks after POE.

Thank you all =) Just confirming as I just got home... it is in fact my NOA2!
It's a good thing I was at work (and not alone) when I accidentally discovered this in my informed delivery because I could not break down and cry happy tears like I would have did if I had been at home  lol  I opened it to show my friend/coworker and I saw it, but my screen is kinda small and I thought that's what it was, but I just kept looking to make sure I was seeing it right because I just couldn't believe my eyes.
I was just thinking about how at the beginning of the week, I had a feeling about this being the week (I think I even said that in a post here) and how on the 8th (my approval date) I had had a dream that night/morning about my F coming here and he had just gotten here and we were going out to some different places and I won't bore ya'll with the rest, but maybe my instincts and then the dream was actually on to something.
Anyhow here is the breakdown of the process so far,
Date Sent:          03-31-17
Received Date:  04-04-17
NOA1:                04-07-17

NOA2:                08-08-17
Postmark Date:  08-09-17

My fingers are still crossed for everyone.. and toes too! It does sound like they are picking up the pace a bit so hopefully it won't be too much longer as I also know all too well that the pain and struggle is real.

Firstly, congratulations to you got the NOA2. Our Day sent and received day is same as you. But we didn't  have NOA2 yet. Do you mind let me know your last 3 digits of your WAC number? Looking forward to your reply! Thanks!

In Texas all we need is an ID with proof of age and identity, so her passport. For me, my driver's license.

That's what I'm asking myself as well!
All people I know have gone to ask for the SSN first. But mostly because of the states requiring the SSN for a wedding.

I'm wondering what the best way is. We wouldn't need a SSN for a Vegas marriage.

So I'm unsure if I should apply for one after marriage to avoid the little hassle of name changing on the SSN.

I read it somewhere on VJ that if you don't apply before getting married and change your name, you are likely to have problems afterwards - because you enter the country under one name, and then you come to them with another one.

But again, according to what @TriloByte says, I guess it depends on the state.

I'm really unsure, because Scott has to ask for leave soon, and if it takes a while until the SSN is ready it will be tricky to keep the schedule, because of the Vegas plan.

I guess I'll start a new topic in the main forum.

Well, I know I'm getting my SSN before the wedding because, first, I'm not changing my name and, second, it seems to me something that might be needed to other things like be added to Gary's bank account while I'm still single.

With the new electronic system for the i94, you don't need to wait two weeks anymore to do this. Also, I'm not sure you can get your SSN after the wedding with your new name if you didn't get one as single before. I think I read something about it not being possible, since they are going to ask you for your EAD minimum, as the K1 is not valid anymore.

I think there's a reason why the guides say you have to get your SSN before marriage, and it has to do with that.
