On April 17, it will be a month of waiting for NOA2. I'm not expecting any RFEs butjust in case, I got duplicate of the packet.

Does anyone has child beneficiary included in their i129f?

Welcome Maxim to our crazy world of March Filers!! I don't have a child beneficiary myself but maybe others do. :) My fiance and I are at Day 30 of waiting right now. :) Approx...60 days to go give or take as far as processing times go.

I really hope that I will have no trouble travelling if we have our NOA2 by the time I am to go down in July. I haven't booked the flight yet because now I am worried and it would be 350 dollars canadian I would be out if I can't. So many unknowns. :( I need to see my man really bad but unfortunately I can't go before then because my co-workers have June booked off already.

Today make it 40 days waiting on the NOA2.... According to the VJ timeline. I have 54 days Left. On our 59days counting which is May 4 is my beautiful beneficiary Fiancée Birthday; on her Birthday which is my working day we normally talk for bout an hour before i start working. What she doesn't know is that on that day this year she will be talking to me an hour before my flight on my way to celebrate her birthday with her.. While she will think I'll be working. I was with her for 19days from December 02 through December 21 last year's. Therefore she has no idea that I will come. I can't wait to see her reaction. It's being a tough waiting but with that surprise trip I'm hoping that the waiting get a little painless....Good luck to you guys..

What a great surprise, I'm sure she's going to love it! & congrats on being almost half way there :D

I have one :) (13yrs)

I do not know if it is different in your countries but i asked by e-mail  US embassy here in Bosnia if any approval needed  from ex husband and they replayed with yes, he need to give the approval so that kid may go to live in USA. Even though I have full custody over my children I needed an approval from ex husband.

I like to be prepared in advance so I have his approval from the court need to be translated by court interpreter as all other docs prior to interview.

Maybe it would be good to send an e-mail and ask, so no surprises arise at interview :)

My daughter is 13 too! And my son will be 10 in May.

I have already got the notarized permission from their father but haven't translated it yet. Here in Ukraine I don't need the translation for the interview but I will definitely need it for POE.

I will have to bring all docs to translation prior to interview anyway, but I did not think about needing the notarized permission on POE, thanks for mentioning it ;)

As far as I know, that's where you really need it. They may or may not ask you about the father's permission at the interview but they won't let the child into the States without it.

Make sense indeed. I thought it is mandatory in order to issue visa for my son at US embassy in Sarajevo at the interview. :)

Thanks! I will make more copies in case consul keeps one ;)

My fiancé has lived in the US 3 summers for work, will he need an FBI background check/report to complete the next leg of our application?  I've seen it can take 3 months to get this so I'd like to get it now if we need it

Thanks

No US check is needed for the beneficiary as they will automatically do checks on him.
