You shouldn't have any problems, since those are domestic flights and your status under the K1 until you get married is perfectly legal.

I'm a worry wart, but I think you beat me, lol ;)

Thank you! Actually I've found a big problem on my papers now. :(( I wish this one is okay. Now I'm trying to remain calm 😞

Suddenly I feel stressed out.. Or do I really have to feel this way?

Today, I've started to gather some documents and prepare the documents for the interview.. I've checked my emails where my fiancé sent me the scan of his supporting documents.. then as I was reading the content of his W2, I found out that the address of the employer in his W2, is different to the one he wrote in his G325A and his I-134. :/ what he has written in his G325a and i-134 was the exact address of where he's working, not the employer's address that's written in his W2.. What I mean here is that he wrote where the manufacture workers work.. :((  that's not my only problem here.. His company has a mother company.. The one he's working right now is just a division or let's say a sublet.. What he wrote in the company name on the forms is the name of the mother company 😣 but on the W2, the name of the sublet is written in there.. Now I'm starting to panic. Will this lead to a denial? :((

It didn't match to his W2 at all. :(( When I asked him, he said he was trying to write it in general. But then again, I'm worried that this may lead to something bad during my interview.

i think this is not a mistake you should worry too much about.

Maybe you can send a paper where you explain why the addresses differ.

But mistakes that should be corrected are misspelled names, wrong dates of birth.

As long as he didnt lie about working there.. i mean its the same company only different address, i think you should be fine

This is common in the US and really shouldn't cause any issues if it can be explained. I used to work for a company based out of Denver, Colorado, but the branch I worked out of was in Salt Lake City, Utah. My pay stubs and W2s came from the corporate office in Denver, but I always wrote my work address as the office I was based out of in Salt Lake City. They could go to the company website and see that there are various locations. Maybe including something that shows a tie between the two addresses might be useful, like a printout from an "about us" or "contact us" section on a company website.

You need to find out what address and company name is referenced on his paystub. It may also be helpful when you get the employment letter to ask to specifically state the name and address of the mother company which owns the subdivision which is where your partner currently works. That should help tie up any discrepencies.

I worked in compliance for a currency broker, specialising in high risk payments and corporate accounts and it's not uncommon for there to be confusion between branches, owning companies etc. As long as you can provide a clear tangible explanation, I wouldn't think it will be an issue.

As previous people have said, don't worry about it. It's very common in the U.S. You can have several addresses associated to your employment. Some places have separate corporate and financial offices in addition to your local place of work. All are valid addresses.

On my Packet 4 checklist for Montreal it has two line items - Affadavit of support (I-134) and Evidence of Support (I-864). My fiance has completed the I-134 form but does he need to do the I-864 as well?

Only the I-134 is needed for K1. The I-864 is also an Affidavit of Support but used for other immigration classifications like spousal visas.

@Yzabelle As everyone else has already told you, very very common in the US. The W-2 address is the less relevant one, if you ask me. If the letter of employment matches the paystubs and what he put in the G325, then there's no really inconsistency.

I'm sure they've seen all kind of things already regarding that, and it's not anything that's going to cause you trouble.

Again... Relax! :angry::P

Thank you everyone 😣 Is this really okay? The employer's address didn't match at all.. His Certificate of Employment, his W2 and bank statements and even paystubs we're all the same.. Same company name, and address.. Only his G325A and I-134 has different name and different address😭

I'm sorry everyone for panicking. 😭 :( I feel a little better after reading your comments..

We finally got around to reading the affidivat of support cant you believe it.. i bet most people have theirs done already haha. I just wanted to know if yoi can help us. We are confused by a few of the questions.  (If you dont mind)

Question 1:

Income and asset information

5. Value of my other personal property - do you include realestate ..because the next section says value of realestate so do you just put personal preoperty such as vehcile etc or vehicle plus house etc and than break out the real estate in #8a.

Question 2:

Same section :value of stocks and bonds:does this include 401k and pension?

Question 3:

Number 22a asked if you previously submitted an affidavit of support our answer was NO but than it goes to 26a ..which says"i have submitted a visa petition to uscis on behalf of the following person" is this the i-129f petition ?if so i am assuming this is where the beneficiaries name goes?

Question 4:

Number 38

"I intend or dont intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person named -beneficiary"

Do you have to yes you intend to? I mean i will be living there with him in his house but he isnt giving an allowance or anything... so we are a little confused by this. We dont want to say no and get rejected we just dont know if specifics right now. And eventually ill get a job etc.

Another concern i had was that my fiance has a rental unit 3 bedroom 2 bath he is currently renovating which put some debt in his name..as would any major renovation... do you think this would impact us from being approved? He makes a healthy income and with rental income much more but the rental was fully gutted so there is some substantial debt from that but its going to be paid with the rental income that comes in... just curious...

Thank you so much. I know i ask alot of questions.. but we dont want to mess any of this up!

@Marzena & Stephen,

I will attempt to answer your questions here to the best of my knowledge, admitting that my answers may not be the best.

Question 1:  The value of your property is everything outside of your real estate like personal belongings and vehicles.  If you owe money on the vehicle, add that to the section 8.b. where they ask for the mortgage and other debt total.

Question 2:  I am not sure on this as I have neither.  From what I am able to understand, they are looking for assets that can be easily liquidated and that add to your current net worth.

Question 3:  Our answer to that question was "None" as we had already stated the beneficiary earlier in Part 2.

Question 4:  To my understanding, this is an inquiry about whether or not you have a predetermined sum of money that you will be providing to the beneficiary.  If you are going to be supporting him/her as your spouse on a normal day-to-day basis then it is not considered a predetermined sum.  If you committed to giving a sum beforehand i.e. $5,000.00 to cover moving and travel expenses, this would be where you indicate that and the amount.

Question 5:  If the debt is in the name of your fiance, then it will need to be included.  Also, if the rental income is known, it should be added to the annual income.  One recommendation I would make is to take advantage of the additional sections at the end of the document and further explain the debt and income from the rental properties.  If the rental properties are owned by your fiance, it is counted as real estate and should be added to section 8.a.

Hopefully this helps you and possibly some others.  Feel free to ask any additional questions or comment on anything I may not have been clear or accurate on.

- Nathan
