My boyfriend is from Dominican republic 😭

Sad, only Colombia and domican are under 50 percent. Looks like our countries are on the naughty list. Does anyone know how to escalated to tier 2 to ask question. The lady on the phone said I had to make an appointment at a uscis office to ask questions regarding my status. She said the only thing she could look up regarding my status was the tracker status and I had to make an appointment with local uscis office to get any more info about my case approval.

We can compare with the state department visa issuance list, though, and DR seems consistent with other countries as far as representation on (ex March K1 visas 127, June 101. There's a time lag but this puts applications on VJ around 10% of visas issued -- maybe even a touch higher than typical.) That said, there's going to a bias on VJ towards slower cases, because that's who comes to complain. :)

I just wish that the damn government took the time to inform people of what's actually going on. We all try to cobble data together, and understandably so when we are separated from our loved ones. I will just stop here because I will quickly work myself up into a rage.

I know why they don't, because obviously it's not a pretty picture, so yeah, people are just stuck with waiting, in the dark.

I know where you're coming from. I've deleted several things I've typed before posting them because I realized it wouldn't help our approval process, lol.

I'd settle for them just not lying. Informing people is probably too much to ask. I don't think a day has gone by where I haven't read a comment where someone called USCIS and got an answer that was either a provable like or a clear half-truth. Case in point, the message immediately prior to yours.

Received NOA2 in the mail! :)

Approval date: 7/31

NOA1: 3/17

CHECK YOUR MAIL GUYS!!! Tracker is indeed broken. Even when I called USCIS last week, they said it was still pending.

Hi. When you called the uscis lastweek and said yours was still pending, have you talked to a tier 2 officer or just a customer service representative? Congratulations! We're on our 135 days now and no noa2 yet 😔💔

Tracker still shows Received!

unconscionable how they lie to us.

Today's uscis rep was seethingly polite.  However, she couldn't hide the fact she became so irritated when I broke the script she was trying to follow.

I called in again too today..  I immediately interrupted her when she said they were working on January cases.

I siad that does not even make sense. You issued my RFE in July on the 7th.

It has been 32 days now since you received my intent to marry letter.

Yes they have a script to read and it is infuriating.

Told her I have sent what they asked for why am I waiting this long.

She replied some case workers work faster than others depending on what work was divided amongst them also.

I asked is it taking this long becuase I may hVe another RFE. She said that is very unlikely but can happen but from what shes sees on my case there is nothing that would suggest that.

I asked can I request an expidite.

She read off ten or more criteria for request to expidite - I asked do I have to prove any of those criteria. She said yes you would have to submit proof.

I was like forget that - I am not having you guys delay us more with documents pending approval.

So today we are at 160 days total.

That call literally broughht me to tears.

Thank god for this forum and our community.

Good luck and congrats to all.

All the Best.

For me, it seemed like even my congressman was sticking to a script. For example, I did reach out to my congressman who did get what seemed to be an accurate update for me because at least what they said came true. Was it random chance? I don't know. What I do know is that after NOA2, my case was still in received online, so I wrote to my congressman several more times, about the case checker, and the lies, and they went quiet, never heard from them again.

Just convince the tier 1 rep that you need more information than is available thru them.  Often they will have tier 2 call you, sometimes they transfer you.  I wonder what assurance you have that it really is a tier 2 rep?  After all, if you can't trust the material they are telling you - can you trust the next person isn't just a cubicle away and not really a tier 2.

as far as InfoPass, you could schedule it........ maybe.

just realize that you are trying to deal with uscis still.  When scheduling your appointment online, be prepared for more uscis shenanigans, like this:

Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow.

If you are looking to escalate, I would just stay persistent, polite, punctual.  Eventually something will give way

LOL  I bet they went quiet. :D  From what I've been reading about the Admin Processing Act, That case tracker is a Whistle Blower!  It shows their actions rather vividly and with more Fed Judges willing to accept auspices within the inner workings of uscis - the foothold was growing.  Simply stated - finding a sympathetic judge and presenting a writ of mandamus for signature appears to me was becoming more common.

Compound the problem with scraping and compiling - the risk for large class action suits would surely follow - if the results yielded data that could be construed as damaging.

Just a customer service rep. I brought up that many applicants have been experiencing issues with the tracker so I tried to make them do a thorough review of my application hoping to hear something different than the usual Case Received status that we see everyday.

The guy tells me it's pending and they are still working on cases from January 1, 2017. When I asked him what he thinks might be the estimated timeframe for my NOA1 date, he says, "More than likely two and a half months" I just kinda gave up from there and a few days later, NOA2 IN THE MAIL!!!!

USCIS customer service is useless. They seem to go by their broken system and so therefore, unless it's past the 5 month mark, I'd just check the mail everyday.

Thanks , Ill call again tomorrow. Odd they are trying to get me to go in person to a local office instead of letting me get escalated over the phone.

I am from Canada as well and have my interview booked now, let me know if I can answer any questions. After NVC some things are country-specific, for example in Canada you cannot book your medical exam until you have booked your interview date.

Sounds great! I will for sure ask!

So for now im waiting on my nvc # we got our noa2 dated july 29 so im assuming about 2 weeks after that i can call nvc ?? And ask if they received my case get a # and pay a fee..but you were saying you in canada cant book your medical until you have an interview date.. so what is the next piece? Just waiting on packet 3? That gets delivered to me the beneficiary? And that is the checklist thats online right? For birth certificate do they just mean the beneficiary bc or both petitioner and beneficiary? I guess i cant get much ready on regards to letter of intent or work letters because it has to be 30 days from the interview date ? When i dont have an interview date yet ..what did you do? How long did it take to get packet 3 after your noa2 ? My fiance is wondering how soon he should ask for a letter from his employer and date his affidavit etc. Sorry so many questions🙈
