Finally ! NOA2 in hand - I am still honestly shaking. Notice date is 7/28, post marked 7/31 and in my hand this morning. Quite literally takes forever for anything to get here. Still hasn't updated on the tracker, I updated my timeline. I am so hopeful that everyone else has theirs in the mail - this is such an awful process and I will be so happy when it is finally over.

CONGRATS!!!!   This is encouraging news!   Nice to see you get yours..... That's 2 today? I think.

I see they post dated your envelope too.  They decided to keep you on pins and needles a few days longer :)

(most likely approved right at quitting time on Friday 28th and got mailed Monday)

Pretty close to what I had with Igor, I had 62.46% but @twoDs has some corrections built in with his program to discount some of the obvious flaws in the data.  I felt he would be close to actual number and probably actual case wide status.  When you sit on the dark side of that Iron Wall that separates the approved from the unapproved, it leaves you yearning for what you can't have.  Ironic today, as our interviewee mailed their petition one day after my petition, received it one day after my rcv date, noa1 one day after but yet the NOA2 was 23 June and ours is indeterminate.  Not a bit jealous, just using an example of 2 cases side by side.  It's an odd odd incomprehensible process that no statistic can actually predict.

One thing that I have learned is to prepare for and expect the unexpected.  We've all changed over the last 5 months, and odd how 5 months ago, I never would of dreamed that I would be researching the Administrative Procedures Act.  Wow, what an ambiguous piece of legislation and its' interpretation in and out of cases with like similarity.  While reading up on precedent cases, I also learned of CARRP, WOWWOW!, now that's something that is sure to be in the Supreme Court soon.  Anyways, statistically speaking, being in the pool with less and less fish, I suppose the chance of getting 'hooked' with an NOA2 is at least Greater for me, I mean - Heck!  63.1% of the pool is empty, so the remaining 36.9% of us......

SOOOOOO From a line in the movie Dumb and Dumber: "I Have A Chance!"

Actually I don't correct anything, though there's some minor filtering that happens. I've noticed a few things like dropped records (there's 4 Canadians without NOA2s from March if you specifically query the VJ database for that, but only 3 if you cut and paste the whole database.)

I'm with you on the bizarro-land situation of people with visas days or even weeks after our NOA1 now. It's hard to not get depressed over this, especially now as the number of non-NOA2 people dwindles.

Lol, you do.

You have a better chance to get NOA2 than to win the lottery. I'm fact, your chance is 100%. It's just a matter of when

(Soon )

It's likely, but not 100%. There was at least one case on this site working on I-129Fs submitted more than three years ago. IIRC she'd actually been to multiple interviews at the consulate and kept getting on administrative hold, and last time she was told everything was cleared up and got the hold notice again just a couple weeks later.

I'm perfectly aware of that. I've seen denials before at the NOA2 stage, as well as at the interview stage. Still think his particular case will get an approval for NOA2.

So I was just trying to be supportive :)

So I call USCIS today, same rhetoric  as normal. I ask for Tier 2.  Today is my 151st day of waiting!  So Tier 2 calls me back as they stated they would. The rep tells me i should be getting a letter in 30 saying Additional Information is needed  :o. can take up to 30 days to receive the letter . Its pitiful, to say that getting an RFE ( that i dont have in hand) is good news after 151 days!  At least someone finally touched it... but OMG now what? Just wait on the letter !

That seems questionable.  I would call back again and see if you get a different answer.  It seems like they are telling ppl anything at this point.  I contacted my Senator and they gave him the wrong information and he of course didn't know if it was fact or made up...but I did.  I submitted my case and was received March 16th.  They told him my case was received in May and still pending....So of course I contacted him again gave him my case number again and told him he was given false information and to please provide me a accurate status of my case....I guess the point is they will tell you anything if they can tell Senator's anything...but until you receive the actually documents... everything they say seems to be lies....Of course they know just like you and I it does not take 30 days, if they for sure know that you have a RFE then they should know when or if it were mailed out....30 days tells me that it hasn't even been issued and that person you spoke to doesn't know if you have information missing if he can't provide you a date of when the RFE was mailed.

They always seem to give the worst case timeline.  I imagine you'll receive the letter within a week.  Hopefully it's an easy fix and things move quickly on their end from there.

OK, this is current as of 10AM today (8/8/17). Currently 63.1% of NOA1s listed in the VJ database have NOA2s:

First NOA2s by NOA1 date. As expected the tail end of the month came up a lot in the past week. The middle of the month continues to lag a bit.:

2017/03/01 21 15 71.4%
2017/03/02 7 7 100%
2017/03/03 15 9 60%

2017/03/30 5 4 80%
2017/03/31 15 6 40%

Next NOA2 by NOA2 date for March filers. The last day of July they clearly made a rush for numbers:

2017/05/18 1

2017/08/04 1
2017/08/07 1

And finally NOA2's by countries with >6 NOA1s. The irony of Canada being the 2nd most completed country isn't lost on us. We're in the 3 that aren't approved. The Dominican Republic hasn't budged. The Philippines are slowly starting to climb.

Australia 8 7 87.5%
Brazil 22 16 72.7%
Canada 19 16 84.2%
Colombia 10 4 40%
Dominican Republic 14 4 28.6%

So does that RFE show when you check your case number on the USCIS tracker?

Just thinking it was that way till now, and it would be kind of worrying if the tracker doesn't show RFE's anymore... We'd have to be more cautious when getting an unexpected letter from USCIS since we couldn't assume is the NOA2.

Don't know, seems odd to me

We can't really know if these numbers are correct, especially the smaller the number of NOA1 countries. It could be that those countries have a lower instance of VJ membership. Don't read too much into that percentage. Now the countries with the higher membership are likely much more accurate. There's also people who abandon their account.

We can compare with the state department visa issuance list, though, and DR seems consistent with other countries as far as representation on (ex March K1 visas 127, June 101. There's a time lag but this puts applications on VJ around 10% of visas issued -- maybe even a touch higher than typical.) That said, there's going to a bias on VJ towards slower cases, because that's who comes to complain. :)
