Im sure it will be. After 10 days from the notice date, start calling them. 😊

Oh dear i wish my fiance will listen to me by this time when i ask him to call NVC. He doesn't want to bother anyone and waste his time by calling. I guess he has 1,000 kgs of patience compared to mine hahahaha. I will try to convince him and call NVC after 10 days.

You can call NVC yourself. Try downloading hangout dialer. @Yzabelletold me to use this and it was really a great help.

well thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, hangout, skype and whatsapp were recently blocked by Dubai government. I will try to use VPN and i hope it will work.

I am from Canada as well and have my interview booked now, let me know if I can answer any questions. After NVC some things are country-specific, for example in Canada you cannot book your medical exam until you have booked your interview date.

Hello all, just to jump in on the discussion re reaching out for help on inquiring on your case... ours was approved at 97 days which seems pretty quick for filing in March. (NOA1 03/28 and NOA2 07/03). I had completely forgotten actually that my fiance had contacted his senator's office in June, to ask if there's any way to expedite it. They inquired about our case with USCIS, were told (on 06/13) the usual about "within normal processing times" and gave us the information on how to expedite. We felt we didn't have a true basis to request an expedite, and the senator's office also told us that the officers who look at requests to expedite are the same officers who are adjudicating cases so technically you are taking their time away from spending it on processing cases. So we decided not to expedite the case and not do anything further on that. Then we got our NOA2 on 07/03. Sooo... did it help, did it not, there's no way of knowing really, but just thought I'd share that. We just wonder if having the senator's office inquire did make an impact on the processing time.

At last, we received our NOA2 dated Aug. 3, 2017. I didn't even realize to ask my fiance to check his PO BOX until last night. It took them 126 days to approve our case. USCIS still shows received as of March 30.

 

I am very happy to move forward and wait for our case to be transferred to NVC.

Woooow.  Congrats!  I'm already so nervous to call and take up someone's time, but this makes me want to start calling after ten days
