Customer Service Tools Outage

USCIS will conduct system maintenance on Sunday, August 6, 2017, from 5 am to 6 pm (Eastern).

Any bets it will NOT work after 6pm?

Yup! Weekly maintenance has been happening since the the tracker has stopped functioning with no changes. We all have hope every time that something changes, but it never does.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. It is frustrating to see others being approved but remember that there are still few march filers that is ahead of you and still haven't gotten their NOA2.

PATIENCE.....PATIENCE.....PATIENCE :)

LOL but the news is never mine!  All working gets me is greater tax burden that pays for no results from this govt......    oh wait!, I forgot, it's paying for today's website maintenance :jest:

I bet that maintenance was estimated to be done three or four months ago, but it is still well within their normal processing times...

Question about the tax returns being sent with the I-134 Affidavit of Support: I always e-file my tax returns using a service called TaxACT. They keep all my past filings in downloadable PDF files, so I have access to all my past 1040s. However, they aren't signed and dated and I have no clue when I originally filed them. I don't think that the date really matters. They just want to see that I've kept my income above the threshold. What have those that have already sent this evidence in done?

I am not to that stage yet, thought i would have been 1st of June so i had everything ready (AOS, paystubs, W2's,  letter from employer, bank statements, etc,) on the part you inquired 2nd week of May I called IRS and asked for tax transcripts for 2014, 2015, and 2016. It was in my mail box 1 week later,  Hope this helps.

I use taxact also and I would think that the note (page 1 of the pdf) showing that it is an electronic file along with something written saying something to the effect of it was electronically filed and that a pin (and lots of other personally identifiable information) is used to identify you when you use this service and therefor a handwritten signature is not required... I know there is more to it than that, they should know that too, but you get the gist of what I am trying to say =)  Plus, if it wasn't you, why would the money be deposited in to your bank account?! hehe
Please do let me know if you find out anything different than that!

With our I-134 I provided my fiance with 4 months of paystubs, employer letter and 3 years of tax transcripts from the IRS website. I think 1040s would be ok since they have the tax year on them, but the tax transcripts from IRS show that you definitely filed.

I've read many, many reports that tax transcripts work fine or are even preferred (probably because they come from the IRS rather than you and are less likely to be doctored.)

In most cases transcripts can be had online at https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
