Feel sorry for the poor schmuck that had to scan my petition......

No wonder Received date and Notice date was 5 days apart.

Think about the sheer volume that takes place there. BTW that lockbox isn't just for USCIS, it's basically a countrywide lockbox for all kinds of activities. The volumes must be absolutely massive, my filing was at least 100 pages, maybe closer to 200 pages, based on how thick the stack I saw at my lawyers office was. Multiply that by 100 per day for K1 filings. That's 10,000 to 20,000 pages. Then realize K1s are 0.4% of all visa filings -- let's stick with 100 pages per filing, that's 2.5 million pages per day. And that's just visa filings, there's also national benefits center filings, AOS, etc etc. Again, in a day.

We're pushing close to 100 million pages per month just in visa applications alone.

Here's a hard question:

Who remembers USCIS processing dates?

What dates did it change and to what date?

it was Jan 15 for a while, then to Feb 15 for a short while, then to Jan 1

Anyone know the dates they moved the goal posts?

It was around 7/15, I find comments about it being changed to Feb and back to Jan on 7/18.

It would seem that with some kind of electronic application process would not only speed things up... but, how bout them trees??
If they are worried about signatures, there is this thing called docusign... they could simply implement something like this and then there would be less chances for rfe due to a missing signature.
Just feeling like they make things 10 times more difficult and drawn out for everyone including themselves then what it needs to be.
Also.. tier 1, tier 1.5 (i know that was a sarcastic joke, but I'm gonna run with it here), tier 2... yeah, put their asses to work doing some real honest work like... oh, let's say adjudicating?... sounds like a solid plan to me!
Geez we are so much smarter then them! Guess this is what happens when ppl are frustrated with our failed system.
Oh, and also, maybe if more senators are contacting them to do a congressional inquiry... maybe they will get tired of that and just get busy so things don't need to get that far. Yeah, maybe there should also be a plan implemented that if x# of senators contact them within a month they need to hire a new adjudicator.. pronto! (not wait for 2 years to pass for the new hire to go through a 2 year hiring process, but immediately)!
Good thing I am not in charge around that pond! :jest:

Yes, there were at least three this week. As it stands now, there are only four March filers from Canada that haven't had either NOA2 or a a RFE.

It is very likely that two of them are in the batch of NOA2s that went out this week -- there's a 3/28 (daffodillia) and a 3/29 (joannan) in the remaining bunch. If not, their odds are certainly high as most of the NO2s issued are for the very end of March.

That leaves us and pajobra. :(

Oh, and in five days, three different filers have their interview in Montreal.

Congrats to all who got NOA2's today. Lots of Canadians. @twoDs I think we are in your box and its gathering dust on someone's desk or in the corner on a shelf forgotten. LOL
