To those who contacted their Senators:

 This happened 3 weeks ago.I (beneficiary) actually contacted Mark Warner's office, senator of Virginia.

I easily was received by a real person because i called during their lunch break,12 am Philippine time, 12 pm VA time.lol

He listened to my concern(a.k.a. whining) i even have to explain to him what a K1 visa is. Long story short,he told me what to do, that my fiance has to send a formal letter of request, he even sent an email to my fiance of what to do. 

A week after that(2 weeks ago), my fiance received a letter from Mark Warner's office saying that CSC is still processing January K1 filers..and hope that they were able to help.

However, little did we know that last week (July 28,2017)our petition was approved. 

I believe(i might be right or wrong)that the senator's office checking our case, was a great help.

If we both weren't crazy from this process, I'd say by the end we would be.

Yes he did. And his assistant.  The even sent a letter the same week to let me know they were working on my case and when they find out something they will let me know as soon as possible.  I assume they gave them 30 days to respond to the request.  So I am being patient for another week and hope to here something soon. My receive date is 16 March.

That's wonderful news!!! It gives me hope on my inquiry! Thank you for the insight. I think it's worth it to try contacting your senator after a period of time. I mean, the worst that can happen is you wait a bit longer for an approval. It can't kill you to try. In your case, it might have helped. Will we ever really know? Probably not, but it's still worth the shot!!! Congrats!

That's terrible. I'm so sorry to hear. I hope you get your NOA2 tomorrow or within the next week. We don't have any other choice but to be patient if they don't look at our case. Just wish everything wasn't a complete mess and we got approved in the exact order it's received by date, and not scrambled all over the month. Just keep positive, I'm certain it's coming soon.

That's nice to hear that my experience gave you hope! If ever they'll give you the answer that the USCIS is still processing..blah blah..dont let that discourage you. Coz, something good is going to happen next after that!

Absolutely 😁 When I first started this journey I had no idea how stressful and panicked I'd be 😂

So bad news on the letters from USCIS. They both said the same thing and that my inquiry showed my case was being worked on and I should hear back within 45 days. 

Seriously? Did you put in an inquiry and that is why you received those letters ? Or was this just random? Oh man im sorry!

Exactly! It can only go forward from here. I feel a lot more positive vibes after inquiring with my senator, so we'll  see what happens and I will definitely keep you posted!  It feels good to know that reaching out to your senator does deem helpful for some! I'm glad it got you your NOA2!

It sounds like they got around to your case in the normal time of processing and they told you what they were told by the tier 1 people who say the same line.

 

Sorry, I'm not buying that it's beneficial at all to contact your senator.
