No not really! I'm going to take the train to Montreal and it's about 7-8 hours. I am doing the medical in Toronto as there are 3 approved doctors there. Toronto is just a couple of hours from me.

Ah gotcha I don't think Toronto is an option for me (or a train!), too far, I'll have to go to the doctors in Montreal. Still waiting for case # etc anyway so I have time to figure it out.

I mean, just because you demand it doesn't mean you will get it. It will sound to them like you're trying to jump the line. If I were working for them and I got your request I would laugh. I am sure they are aware of the flaws in their system but have some reason to keep their dates way back and consumer expectations low.

It wasn't meant to sound like a demand. I read it over and for some reason it sounded fine. In the moment of writing it, I was irritated. There's nothing I can do to change it now. The way I see it, it was a better option than sitting around waiting for an approval. It will either get action on my case, or nothing.... so in the end, I'm not losing anything unless I got denied, which I doubt. I won't defend them though, they should at least work a little faster and I know many others can agree with me on this. Whether you agree or not, that is my opinion.

Hi everyone, I just checked my informed delivery and see that I have two letters from the USCIS. I'm not sure if that's good news or bad. Right now I'm just happy to have some kind of letter after 184 days since NOA1. It's going to kill me waiting all day to check the mail.

Good luck!!! You'll have to let us know! Maybe noa2 and nvc ! Never know 😊 i mean they did take forever !

142 days for me so far crossing my fingers 🤞🤞🤞🤞for everyone !

But I don't think you WILL get action on your case just because you complain...I think the senator requests in general are a waste of time as they're not going to dig out your specific file just because you got someone not in their organization to nag over their shoulder

Not true. @KozmicBlues got action on her case after contacting a senator and received an approval. I've read of many others getting responses on their petitions after using a senator. I'm not just talking about those in this forum either. So, while it may be possible there is no outcome, you can't say it's a complete waste of time. For others, it's been the help they needed. Complaining or not, I'm definitely not the only one who inquired with their senator. But I mean, if you don't want to go that route, you're not forced to.....

I think it was good that you wrote them and included your frustration. And definitely do not sit around like others and wait and wait.  The only way to get something done is to take action and I think it sounded fine.  Yes I agree they should work faster and own up to the fact they have no true system to this and they should also keep all petitioners in the know when it comes to their application no matter where you are in the process.  I applied before you and I am still waiting along with you.  And I emailed the processing center as well...at least you are pushing for answers.  Whether you get them or not you tried and that's the best we can do as petitioners.  Good Luck with everything!

You should probably take your own advice and not get so offended when someone disagrees with you. Like myself. :) All I stated was that it's not a complete waste of time. I asked a simple question and it was simply asking if I'm overthinking what I wrote. I guess your opinion is that people that reach out to their senators are complainers.

Oh, and I'm not offended hun.... don't you worry. You aren't ruining my day! I however am moving on from this though, as it's pretty much pointless to bicker about. We can agree to disagree.

Thank you! I seen others on here talk about reaching out to their senators and I was influenced a bit by their decisions. To me, it seemed like a good idea. I understand it's a long process and it's not supposed to be easy, but doing something to better my chances is better than doing nothing. That's not to say that if you don't contact a senator, you're doing nothing.... I just felt it was personally beneficial in the moment that I seen the opportunity. I think it sounds OK too, I just think we all get in that moment where we overthink stuff. Yesterday I was feeling pretty negative but I believe it happens to the best of us. :) Thanks for the support!!! I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get your NOA2 soon! It is definitely frustrating! Just think, we might have already been approved in transit... we would know if the system wasn't broken. Lol.

couple of points

All dogs go to heaven and all K1s go to CSC

The texas address you sent your petition to is a lockbox processing facility.  They take your money, give it a fast review for signatures and at least 2 forms (probably just 1 form now that 325 is not needed) then send it to California.  Your case hasn't transferred. Rarely a case gets transferred, usually due to a past encounter with USCIS.

Update your timeline to reflect CSC for more accurate predictions (even though you mailed it to TX lockbox)

Honestly wish you a speedy noa2
