Thanks @CubaAndChill and @AkesAngel for trying to get the March scans sorted!

Just curious - anyone else in our little group here working in the health care field or having professional licensing issues once they finally make it to the US? I'm an Australian Physiotherapist and the process for getting licensed in America is pretty intense!

Also, just for fun I was wondering if anyone could beat the distance between me and my fiancee. We're living 12 hour time difference and 11,136 miles apart. :P

We're at a 15 hour difference right now, but we're only ~8.5k miles apart.

Hello, everyone! :)) just wanna ask if What are you doing while waiting for NOA2? hoping and praying we'll all get it by next month or by June! ❤

Sent our packet- 3/11

They received it- 3/14

we never got a text notification or email notification even if my fiancé told me he attached the g1145 😂 He just checked his mailbox 3/28, and found the hardcopy 😇

So our NOA1 is 3/20. ;))

now patiently waiting for NOA2. While getting nervous about the medical.

Planning to prepare again for the medical and interview next month. What are your preparations now? 😊

Got my NOA1 hard copy in the mail over the weekend, but I'm having a rough day today and struggling to figure out how I will get through this whole process. I miss my fiance so much it's unbearable and lots of stuff at home/life is making it even more difficult to be away from him. The reality that it will likely be close to Nov/Dec (if we're lucky) before he's able to move here is becoming harder each day. I'm so close to just giving up on the whole process and quitting my job to go live with him there until we can figure out a way to come back here to the states together. If there's anyone else in the world who can relate, it's you all on here. And I'm glad I found this forum to give me a place to at least know that I'm not alone in this process. :(

Well, I would say "cheer up and find something to do" but I know it doesn't work:)

Long distance is hard, and life is hard in general, wonderful but hard:) At least now you have a (more or less) definite plan to close the distance. Nov/Dec does sound like distant future when you are missing your fiance but I am sure you were missing him before you started the process. So, waiting is not fun but it will be over, and you will be together:)

My fiancee and I are 9 hours time difference and just over 6,000 miles apart. It makes communication tricky. I wake up while she's at work, then she's in bed before I get home from work. We only get my lunch hour and weekends to hear each other's voices and see each other's faces.

Tricky would be an understatement:)

I wake up at 5.15 every day to talk to my fiance for an hour, except Friday when I wake up at 4.00 to spend more time with him at least once a week. All my friends think I am crazy:) But it's the only time that works for us. So, sleep is my second biggest dream, and luckily it will come true together with the biggest one:)

Same for me. I get up at about 6am to talk to her for an hour and a half (I start work at 9), then by the time I get off at 6pm I get to call to wake her up and talk to her for another hour or so, before she starts work at 8:30. The 12 hour time difference is surprisingly not too bad during the week, but on the weekend its a problem if one of us wants to sleep in (normally her).

8th June 2017 - Received hardcopy NOA2

It's only my fiance who gets to sleep in at the weekend. He is an owl, and I used to be a lark but now I am a permanently exhausted pigeon:)

The other day he asked me what I would like to do during my first month in the States, and my first reaction was "Sleep!"

Congrats on everyone getting their NOA1's and for those who have already had a month pass by!

I'll be a month in, in about a week and a half. Hopefully the next 2 months go as smoothly.

In all honesty, I may actually be the only one appreciative of the time it's taking for the NOA2 :/ ... I just have a lot of things going on right now and even though it would be nice to have my fiance here, I'm appreciate of the space I have to myself. Maybe I'm weird lol

I don't think that's weird either :)
Him and I are both used to live alone; when he was here we had a weekend-relationship as well. And since we text a lot and have our Sundayish facetime date, we don't get to miss each other too much.
I'm good with this, it's certain moments when I wish to be there badly. But in daily life we're both good.. he's working 12 hours a day, I have a busy schedule.

It sounds so unromantic, haha! :)

Btw I just calculated: It's day 100 since I hugged him good bye, and we just talked about visits last night and kind of decided to save his leave days (and money) for when I arrive.
So the wait will be much longer. But I'm busy.... yet! :)

Ugh... now you got me thinking about our last hug... 66 days for us and now I just feel sad all over again. We did not get to have that tear jerking last moment because it was too chaotic at the airport (we actually flew out of different airports) and I hate to admit it, but I am kinda glad cuz I really did not want to be crying my eyes out at the airport  lol Even our last 24 hrs was REALLY tough for me though. I just kept trying to not think about it and then BAM! it would hit me in the face again. We also talked about me going to visit him, but, with my school and work, it really does not make sense when he should (fingers crossed) be here by the fall? (lol) nor does it fit.

when ur counting days waiting for noa 1 do u include weekends? because if weekends isnt included then I am waiting for 10 days and counting..

Hello there, I am the beneficiary. Welcome here at visajourney kababayan. Anyway, in counting the days, did you include the days you sent and delivered your package? When did your fiance sent your petition? Ours was sent on the 30th of March through USPS and delivered on the 3rd of April. Then on the 7th, my fiance received a text from USCIS that NOA1 is sent to his mail already. Right now, we're still waiting for the mail to arrive and both are anxious to see whatever response we will get from the government. So don't worry kababayan, you are not waiting alone. We are waiting together.. Goodluck to all of us here...:-)

I haven't bothered preparing much right now because well in all likelyhood an NOA2 won't come til June at the earliest and so likely I will schedule medical and interview in September if that is the case. I guess what I should be doing is calling the public health nurse here and seeing if they still have record of my vaccinations from when I was a kid. I was born in Canada but we lived in the States til I was 6 years old so most of my vaccinations were done when I was a baby and I do have my vaccination card from California already. Mum thankfully had kept that but she can't find my Manitoba one nor my brother or sisters for that matter. LOL The only vaccinations I need done are tetanus and maybe the flu shot depending on when the medical happens. So I will also set up an appointment to get my tetanus done asap since I can get that done for free with the public health nurse. I am actually not stressing the medical or the interview. I know it will go fine long as we have everything needed and we will. I am not the most organized person at all but for stuff that's super important I am. Good luck to you and welcome to our group. :D It is great to have this group here it certainly makes the waiting easier. :)

Thats not crazy at all. I guess I am one of the lucky ones here cause we only have an hour time difference. We talk from about 7:30pm-10:30pm my time during the weekdays on video chat with skype. On weekends maybe a bit longer like midnight or so because neither of us works weekends. I could not imagine having a huge time difference. Kudos to you all who do. HUGS

Yeah.. btw, how did you fill up the form i-129f? The instructions says to leave it blank if your answer is N/A or NONE, right? I read the instructions carefully, so I did what they instructed and left those questions blank if it's N/A or NONE.. But getting worried because they made another version of i-129F and it's completely different from the form we filled up. It's now 13 pages and they have instructions to just write N/A if Not applicable or NOne if it's not.. so here's the thing that makes me worried, I'm worried that we might get an RFE because they might think we should have just put N/A or NONE on it even if the one I used was the 2016 form.. there was a december filer who recently got an RFE because they left it blank. Too late for me because we submitted the packet already.. ghaaad. I'm so worried. :((
