Got my NOA1 hard copy in the mail today. Just have to take my mind off this whole process  for the next three months.

Awesome ☺️ It's a month since I got my NOA1 😂 Time flies

Got my NOA1 hard copy in the mail over the weekend, but I'm having a rough day today and struggling to figure out how I will get through this whole process. I miss my fiance so much it's unbearable and lots of stuff at home/life is making it even more difficult to be away from him. The reality that it will likely be close to Nov/Dec (if we're lucky) before he's able to move here is becoming harder each day. I'm so close to just giving up on the whole process and quitting my job to go live with him there until we can figure out a way to come back here to the states together. If there's anyone else in the world who can relate, it's you all on here. And I'm glad I found this forum to give me a place to at least know that I'm not alone in this process. :(

Chin up, KozmicBlues. Time will fly! :)
And you have all of us here to pull you up! :)
Can't you go visit him like on half time?

I haven't seen my fiance since I departed on January 2nd. And I will most likely not see him until I come home for good. Long time. But we're doing surprisingly good with this (we're weirdos), and we made it through 8 months of being apart last year.
Some days I hate waiting, some days I don't mind because I'm busy...and used to the LDR.

Also, just for fun I was wondering if anyone could beat the distance between me and my fiancee. We're living 12 hour time difference and 11,136 miles apart. :P

My fiancé is +10 hrs, but about 1/2 the distance of yours. The difference in time and our daily lives definitely makes things difficult, but we try to make the most of the little time we do have.

I am right there with you! I sent mine on the 31st and have received no text or email, but they did take the money out of my account. I can only hope this means good things  lol otherwise, I just might go crazy!

I got text message and email. one part is done.

Thanks @CubaAndChill and @AkesAngel for trying to get the March scans sorted!

Just curious - anyone else in our little group here working in the health care field or having professional licensing issues once they finally make it to the US? I'm an Australian Physiotherapist and the process for getting licensed in America is pretty intense!

Also, just for fun I was wondering if anyone could beat the distance between me and my fiancee. We're living 12 hour time difference and 11,136 miles apart. :P

I have a Ukrainian friend (friend of my fiancee) who is working on whatever is required to be an oncologist here. I don't know the details of the process, but from what she says, it's not easy at all.

I guess I'm between you and Oric&Olya for distance. My fiancee and I are 9 hours time difference and just over 6,000 miles apart. It makes communication tricky. I wake up while she's at work, then she's in bed before I get home from work. We only get my lunch hour and weekends to hear each other's voices and see each other's faces.

You sing my song! I'm a nomad; moved a lot in the last years, but this one now is the biggest ever.
It still looks like my belongings are increasing overnight, haha!
For me it won't be the last move, since my fiancé has 7 more years of Army coming up. Our next move will be 2019... whereever to! :D

Your distance is - WOW! :D
How did you guys meet?

4952 miles, 6 hours time difference and about 16 hours (if it goes smoothly) travel time between the two of us.

Random question as well:
I hate miles, feet, inches, oz and FAHRENHEIT.... argh! Those are things I'd like to import from Europe. :D
I'm wondering if I will ever get used to it!
What about you? Or are you using this weird stuff already? :D

Well we might move again for my fiance's job. He works in Colorado Springs currently and was offered a better job at their place in Austin, TX but he turned them down because of me coming down. They said that next time one opens he will be first to be asked again so that's nice.

OMG I also hate miles, oz and F. lol But I guess we all gotta get used to it. but something I will never lose is my u's in words like colour, favourite, flavour. etc lol Although I do say Zeee instead of Zed like other Canadians as I went to nursery school in the USA when my parents lived down there. We never moved back to Canada til I was six.

As for distance well I know I am not far because I do live in Canada compared to some of you all. I am only 1 hour ahead of him and its 16 hours to drive down there from where I am give or take traffic and 979 miles lol

Oh you are so not alone. I talk with my fiance every night on skype with webcam and usually we get off about 10pm my time because I have to be up at 7am for work. I often find myself crying myself to sleep nearly nightly. I told my Mum the other day that I need to get stock in the Kleenex company. I try to remind myself everyday is one day closer. I am hoping to be heading there by his birthday which is October 19th. It is his 50th birthday and it would be the best birthday gift ever I think.

Congrats on everyone getting their NOA1's and for those who have already had a month pass by!

I'll be a month in, in about a week and a half. Hopefully the next 2 months go as smoothly.

In all honesty, I may actually be the only one appreciative of the time it's taking for the NOA2 :/ ... I just have a lot of things going on right now and even though it would be nice to have my fiance here, I'm appreciate of the space I have to myself. Maybe I'm weird lol

Nah that's not wierd at all. I am used to living alone myself until the past two years when I moved in with my Mum. lol My fiance though has only lived alone for 2 years and is anxious to have me down with him. Since I spent 5 days with him two months ago he says our apartment is too empty now. lol He always calls it ours.
