Oh great! :)
I've landed in Kansas City when I was 3,5 years old, hehe! My grand aunt has lived in the area around! :)
Wow, lucky! My fiancé is refusing going to NYC, hehe. I need to work on that! :)

Norway and Sweden are still on my bucket list as well. But that might take a while! :)

Yeah, I hope the waitiing for NOA2 will go by fast! Until now I'm surprised. I'm taking it pretty easily... YET. I think I haven't fully realized I will leave!

Yeah sometime's it seems a bit surreal when you think that you are going to leave. My niece is happy for me but told me she will miss me terribly. I have moved a lot since I was 18 years old for jobs and such. So moving for me seems to be second nature. I am hoping this is the last big move I have to make now for years. LOL I am getting too old for this moving thing.

I feel you!
I wasn't sure what to wear, since we're still not sure where to get married.
Either/likely it will be the High Roller (biggest Giant wheel in the world) in Las Vegas, or a beach one in Virginia Beach, or just a courthouse one in Virginia Beach.

So I went browsing through stores with my friend the other day, just looking. I wanted to try on something, because a) I never wore a dress in my life and b) I'm a "blackskirt"... my only "bright" clothes are jeans or sometimes grey. So I was curious if I even want a dress. Plus I'm tall, so usually all clothes are too short.

After the entire afternoon just looking we ended up in some prom dress store.... I found a white dress, tried on, my friend cried 3 times - bought! :)

And this will work for either one of our possible wedding places and it's feather light, so no problem with luggage!

YAY, first dress of my life will be the wedding one! :):):)

I bet you will look great :D I know we all will whatever we choose. Life is wonderful.

Thanks @CubaAndChill and @AkesAngel for trying to get the March scans sorted!

Just curious - anyone else in our little group here working in the health care field or having professional licensing issues once they finally make it to the US? I'm an Australian Physiotherapist and the process for getting licensed in America is pretty intense!

Also, just for fun I was wondering if anyone could beat the distance between me and my fiancee. We're living 12 hour time difference and 11,136 miles apart. :P

Good luck getting your license once you're here.  I'm a registered nurse living in the US and every state has it's own requirements.  Thankfully, I've never moved from Missouri. We certainly need you in the states!

My fiancé lives in Norway,......time difference is 7 hours and I hate it!  I can't imagine 12!  We are 6,500 miles apart.....soon we'll all be with our loved ones!!!! Life is beautiful! I try to embrace every day as if it's my last! Some days is hard missing my love, lol.......have a great day!!!

You sing my song! I'm a nomad; moved a lot in the last years, but this one now is the biggest ever.
It still looks like my belongings are increasing overnight, haha!
For me it won't be the last move, since my fiancé has 7 more years of Army coming up. Our next move will be 2019... whereever to! :D

Your distance is - WOW! :D
How did you guys meet?

4952 miles, 6 hours time difference and about 16 hours (if it goes smoothly) travel time between the two of us.

Random question as well:
I hate miles, feet, inches, oz and FAHRENHEIT.... argh! Those are things I'd like to import from Europe. :D
I'm wondering if I will ever get used to it!
What about you? Or are you using this weird stuff already? :D

12 1/2 hours time difference and 8,100 miles apart. But flight distance is over 11,000 miles since there are no airlines that go the shortest path across the pacific.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

I hate them too! I don't understand why they should be using so many random units when the metric system is much more convenient.

I only know a simplified way to convert Celcius to Fahrenheit - C*2 + 30 = F. Enough to talk about the weather:)

I think that as time goes by I'll just remember without converting it all the time in my head that I need X pounds of meat for a week, or Y feet Z inches of fabric for new curtains, and so on. I see it as a new language - if you keep translating word for word from your mother tongue, you will never be fluent.

Glad I'm not the only one! :D

Haaaaa, I'll try your converting trick for temperatures. That sounds like even I would remember! :D

Hmmmmm, got a question.

I've just gone through the "What happens after NOA2?" thing....
It says you need a full copy of the petition.
I'm sure my fiancé didn't hardcopy it 1:1. I myself of course (German quality work :P ) have scanned my signed stuff. But I think he just saved the files he later printed and signed, so he can print it again and sign. I didn't specifically ask him yet (although I've "ordered" him to make everything tripple), but that's my assumption.

Does this have any influence (if he re-prints and signs "freshly" with the original date), or do they want a 1:1 hardcopy of the original?

I think they need a new letter of intent and I-134 with signatures, all the rest is not that important. As for the copies - my fiance and me have been sharing my Google drive, and when we started getting ready to file the petition, we collected everything there in a separate folder: the forms, scanned docs, letters of intent, proof of meeting in person, etc. In this way he won't have to send me a couple of pounds of paper copies (haha, trying to use the new units) and pay a lot for ut. I will print out here everything that doesn't require a wet signature. If your fiance has electronic versions of his papers, you could do the same.

Yeah, I got everything double. The normal word.docs and then .pdf of the signed versions, while HE (I guess) only has the .docs. But maybe he will surprise me; I'll ask him later.
I mean a full copy can mean a lot.... printed scans of the original sent one, or just a duplicated not identical but same one (dates and stuff)... I think I'm thinking too much again! :D

Yeah, I know about the new letter of intent, as well as the Affidavit of support.

Are you already collecting his bank stuff? I'm wondering when the earliest is to collect the tax and bank stuff. I actually want him to have everything ready, so he can snail it all over once the NOA2 hardcopy reached him.

Does he actually have to send me the original NOA2 note, or a copy? I've read both!

I'm sure you will be fine with your copies! I know it's difficult not to think to much but we all should try:)

We are not collecting his bank stuff yet but going to start soon. He says it shouldn't be too difficult.

According to the K-1 guide here, he should send you the copy of NOA2. The original is too valuable for snail mail, I remember reading somewhere that it is used as the proof that you have legal grounds to be in the States until you get your conditional green card.
