Man as a 3/13 NOA1 this is getting depressing. There's four new NOA2s in the database today, three of which

are after our NOA1 and only one of the NOA2s announced here today is before us.

I am glad to see those poor January and February filers are filing getting notices, though,

the wait times for those were getting ridiculous!

Tell me about it !!! Im in the usa right now visiting so i cant complain too much but it feels odd for it to take so long

At least one of the NOA2s was Canadian today. I think that's the first in like 3 weeks, or at least is seems like it.

It was about 3 weeks from the date the Consulate received our case from to receiving Packet 3 via e-mail (after e-mailing the consulate a week before). Packet 3 came via snail mail about 4 days after that for me and about 10 days after that for my Canadian fiance. I would give it a week or two and then try e-mailing the Consulate asking if you can send Packet 3 in to them.

did you send Packet 3 by snail mail or did you scan and email in?

Yes so happy to see more approvals especially some Canadian ones and ESPECIALLY the ones from January and February filers. :)

With Packet 3, all you will need to do is to send an e-mail with your MTL Case # and DS-160 Confirmation number in the subject line with 3 attachments:

  1. DS-160 Confirmation Page
  2. Scanned copy of the biographical page of the beneficiary's passport
  3. Signed checklist from Packet 3 indicating you have collected all of the required documentation

After we sent this in, it was about 5 business days before we got Packet 4 and were able to schedule the interview and medical.

Packet 3 came to me via e-mail (because I e-mailed about it) AND to both of us via snail mail.

Packet 4 will only come via e-mail.

The e-mail I used for correspondence with montreal is: Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov

Hope this helps!

Talking to my fiance about a change in plans. Originally he was going to come up and get me but I think it would be better that I ship the important junk down by mail now and the rest I can get next spring when I get AP and I can drive back home and grab my little blue dresser that my great grandpa shaene made thats over 100 years old and my table plus anything else I left that I will want. Then I might have to fly from Winnipeg to Denver. Checking on which flights allow in-cabin kennels to bring my cat Pixie down with me and what I would need for her. I am now so stressed about this as he can't get much time off from work on a short notice. :( Argh maybe we should just forget all this. *cries* Either that or I see if my Mum will loan me money to buy a car and I will pay her back. So many variables. :( Although you are supposed to own the car for a year but I would wait and import it later once situated. I think I need to have a chat with my Mum tonight.

So exciting to see approvals, and through the online system no less! Maybe they've finally got it working again (I'm not hopeful though).

I'm planning on calling the NVC on Monday, just to see if my case has been received. It most likely won't be (Approval was the 18th) but it's just a phone call.
