Started noticing so many February filers still waiting...... GinAustin, MissABC, Twinee, JulzGhen, Ana&Matt, Bluruce, Camie

7 months, huh?  Perhaps they are starting to notice their own processing times and telling the truth to callers.  Perhaps they are focused on back tracking to clean up their debris from previous months....

Who knows.  I really wish we'd see some heavy approval days here on VJ

Yea, they must really be behind on their work. I pray I don't have to wait that long. I miss my fiance so much. Hopefully he's here by December. We are thinking abt setting our wedding for December or early January. At this point I'll just pray n wait....no more calls to USCIS.

Can't wait to hear of your review.  You know I prayed for you several times that day.  Sounds like you had a hiccup regardless......  Back again on Monday, sorry you have to go back again.  You say bus trip is 6 to 7 hrs?  What province are you from?

I know right.... Had I known it was gonna be this long i wouldve gotten engaged in December and sent the packet in January

I have been thinking about the same thing. We got engaged in January, but the HCMC consulate places a large emphasis on providing proof of an engagement party. I now wonder if it would have just been best to take the proof to the interview rather than waiting until after the ceremony to apply.

Ok....so I finally got my response from my State Representatives office:

HI Chris-

Here is the response I received from USCIS:

Thank you for your July 20, 2017 inquiry on behalf of your constituent CHRISTOPHER FUSINA, regarding the I-129F filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

We recognize your interest in the processing of your constituent’s pending petition. USCIS electronic records indicate that the I-129F petition for which you are inquiring is within processing time.  The case was filed on March 21, 2017, and the Service is currently processing these Form-type cases that were filed on or before January 1, 2017.  For the latest on USCIS processing times, you may check the USCIS website atwww.uscis.gov.

So obviously USCIS don't give a flying freak who is inquiring...they are going to read the same script they are provided in front of there Tier 1 and 2 eyes.  I believe even the President would get the same answer.  SOooooo.....Unless you are out of the "normal processing time" which appear to be 7 mnths now....you won't have any hope even with a State Rep or Congressman.  And I could honestly say even a monkey could get a petition approved within 7 mnths.  So they are ingenious......they must have had a big Tier 1 and 2 meeting the other week and asked the simple question  "how do we get these petitioner A-holes off the phone within 5 minutes so we can take a longer lunch?"   "hey I got an idea!!!!", says the D-bag that is late to work everyday.  "Lets say we are now currently processing Jan 1st cases and just tell everyone....well....nothing we can do!!!!  You are still in normal processing times."

But I will keep calm.....This is actually my 2nd K-1 visa.  My first wife was broken. So had to get a new one. The 2013 Petition took 169 days.  I'm at 126 now.....So Number 2 may still be a head of schedule.  I have no idea what I did last time to past the time.  I really wasn't expecting to go thru this all again.  lol

The problem is congressmen probably use a generic form fill request and are fed back a generic form fill response. Probably the best way to get a real answer might be to have a joint inquiry with someone who has been approved as far past the obviously nonsensical Jan.1st date that is also filed after you. By framing the question by front-loading evidence against their standard lines of "we're only working on Jan. 1" and "we approve petitions in order of date received" people might get an actual examination of what is going on. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part. The only people they may actually be accountable to are the inspector general and/or ombudsman.

It's pretty obvious they're using the same channels/systems as the customer service people are. Without bypassing those it will go nowhere.

I think the better solution would be for the congressperson to ask for a copy of the front page of the filing or something similar where they have to actually handle the case file. Otherwise pretty much anyone can just copy the text on the "received" case status page and make the inquiry go away. As you note, it's provably false that the files are being processed in order. The January database is showing 72 cases on VJ with visas (so multiply by ~13, or 936 or so K1 visas issued for January alone) while we have someone that got a RFE, their first contact since NOA1 in early January, on 7/21.

I think USCIS is twisting words and calling NOA1 notices as "processing" and thus claiming the cases are processed in order.

I'm willing to bet this may be behind why the case tracker no longer updates as well. Way too easy to prove out of order processing when you can literally just drop numbers into the system and see it.

Again, we're only 0.4% of the visas issued, and there's perhaps a half-dozen people actually processing cases (and likely less than this now.) This isn't a manpower problem at USCIS, it's a priority/management problem.

It might be a better approach to submit the USCIS reports with the Q1 and Q2 visas processed figures along with the inquiry and point out that 1) people are waiting far longer and 2) the USCIS is inexplicably processing 30% fewer K1 visas when the number of them is increasing, and have the representative ask why that is.

Nope :)

Timeline processing is just averages.  Seems like none of us are doing average times.  But, I do think you will have an approval very very soon!

Wow! Thank you so much! I'm really praying for that. God bless you!

My case tracker app went off today at 1645.  I have it set pretty tight, to the 6 cases that I believe my case is boxed up with.  RFE went out to one of those cases today.  Mine remains as 'Case was received March 16'.

My hope is I'm on a desk :)

@dkmfan85 Prob a different RFE - this one went to a 3/16 rcv date

Had a very crazy day, no time to track approvals on VJ today.  I haven't seen anyone saying they have an approval - Anyone else catch any????

How about you @twoDs  Have you noticed any?
