Ah yes so much stress. I told my fiance just now that I wish I could just quit both jobs and come to the states to wait but we both know I wouldn't get across the border without good ties to Canada and the jobs are huge ties. LOL Also those jobs are paying for my current bills and also savings towards paying for my flight to montreal and my medical and my visa fee.

I know the feeling...My F wants me to go to Romania till he has his interview! I am like... no, that would make them want to say no! I need to be working to have the income for the Affidavit of Support!
It's just hard hard... hard!  being apart and not knowing the when of things.

Still holding my theory: they are focusing on anything pre 30 March and on Aug 1st - anything left undone gets backlogged again so they can start on April.

Omg...I'm literally a March 30 filer :(

@SChamb @Majuuu @belle4310

Our case took a little over 2 weeks to reach NVC after NOA2, but there was the July 4 holiday in there as well

07/03 - NOA2 notice date (shows on hard copy)

07/05 - received email notification with approval, and this is the date that shows on the online tracker which was updated to Approved

07/08 - NOA2 hard copy received

07/18 - case received at NVC

07/21 - case # assigned

07/21 - case In Transit from NVC to consulate

Still in transit as of 07/26

Praying that the NVC receives it tomorrow, I received a snail mail of NOA2, but tracker still says RFE received June 26th.

Me too.  A week or two would have been nice :)

I bet that wall comes down next week.   Time will tell, whether I'm a fool or guessed correctly but something drew a line in the sand between March and April

If it makes you feel any better, there's one database entry for an April 3 notice date. 3/31 had its first NOA2 as well recently, and USCIS has made it pretty clear their calendar operates on some kind of fuzzy Heisenberg approximate time. You're likely a March like the rest of us.

Thanks all!  I know it'll come eventually.  Fingers crossed for us all that it's very soon.  I was really excited to see the 3/31 approval but they did send earlier than me, so it's hard to say if that's their received date or notice date where 3/31 is only received date for me.  In any case, about three hours until mail time for me...

Be sure to double check the need for fasting before the medical.  For our medical, no fasting is needed prior to the blood test, and no food is allowed in the clinic so they recommend a meal before arriving the day of the exam.

I would think the serum tests are universal across the globe, so I believe a fast prior won't be necessary :)

Thank you, now I know from a happy approved fellow Ukrainian that it's unnecessary indeed:)

I wish we would too. Only because I know Montreal is a slower consulate. Right now I fully expect the earliest I might get to be with Chris is end of October. If it gets into November I will probably Fly in instead of having him drive up to get me and then the next spring we can drive up and visit my family and get the rest of my junk, I mean stuff important stuff. LOL

Saw a couple recently got approved and booked interview for mid to end August! That's not far out! Montreal isn't as bad as we are anticipating! Some sites lie! Don't get your hopes down; I know I did! Won't know until we book!

It's interesting when you sort NOA2s by wait time, the odds of having an RFE go up a lot the longer the wait (which makes sense due to the RFE delays, but that only adds a couple weeks.) I thought there might something statistically odd going on here (50% of the top quartile of NOA2s have RFEs) but the difference in median wait time for those with RFEs and those without is pretty much exactly the RFE processing time, which seems to suggest other than the delay RFEs don't really affect the case timing in any signficant way.

One tidbit of hope to all, when I crunch the numbers all sorts of different ways, a NOA2 taking longer than 180 days is an incredibly improbable event, even with the delays seen in the July data. Over 99% of NOA2s should happen in under 180 days. Obviously that's a long time but with a lot of us crossing the 4 month mark, it does at least let you consider plans. Given current processing times almost everyone should have a visa around the start of the new year, even at slow consulates.

Day 135  today......1 hour to the rush hour traffic to check the mailbox. Please Lord Please. Called and got tier 2, told me wait another 60 days. Arrrrrr.

lol, well, they're not lying. That'd put you at 195 days -- there's maybe two NOA2 this year with wait times that long.

Talk about a useless and frustrating answer, though. With drive times that long I'd get informed delivery if it's possible to do so!
