Wow, barely more than a month from NOA2 to visa! Jealous! Congratulations!

Yes, we submitted ds160 and paid fees online  as soon as we received NOA2 ... did not wait for NVC.  As soon as NVC Case # was received by phone, we scheduled the interview date on the embassy website.  Medical we completed before we even received the official NVC letter in the mail!

06/30/2017:  NVC sent to embassy (electronically)

06/30/2017:  Paid fee online and Scheduled VAC appointment for 7/2/17 and embassy interview appointment for 7/25/17

07/02/2017:  VAC appointment completed (for fingerprints and photograph ... varies by country, don't panic if you're not familiar with this)

07/03/2017:  Embassy received packet from NVC (petitioner received email from embassy, advising case ready for interview)

07/06/2017:  Medical exam completed

07/15/2017:  Medical exam results picked up (sealed envelope + xray disc)

07/18/2017:  Police clearance certificate obtained

06/01/2018: Still impatiently waiting :)

Just have to say it feels good to finally have someone TRY to help me with this situation. I know I'm still within normal processing time and people before me are still waiting, but I expressed my concerns about the tracker being broken and how we pay a substantial fee with absolutely no update as to the status of our case. I'm sure they will give his office the same useless canned response as they give us on the phone but figured it was worth a chance anyway!

Congrats to all the recent approvals!! So excited for you all! ❤️

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

I'll be very curious as to the response you get. We're both March filers (I'm a couple weeks ahead of you, 3/13) from the same city.

I looked up my representative and he actually has a link for USCIS follow up on his home page, but from my reading it seems like if you're not at five months, little will happen, so I'm just getting the paperwork ready to send when we hit day 150.

Today is day 134 for us. Informed delivery email came, no NOA2.

For all March filers, the longest NOA2 wait for those that have NOA2 is 139 days, with two more at 134.

For NOA2s issued in the past two weeks, the longest wait has been 167 days. A 2/2 filer got their NOA2 on 7/19.

I hope the rest of you find something in your mail today. For us, we wait again for tomorrow.

Ah wow, fellow Phoenician! :) I'll definitely let you know the response I get. I initially called and talked to the person at the office who handles immigration issues. He looked up the processing times and told me they are currently working on Jan 5th cases per their website. I explained that it just recently went back to January after it had been updated to February. I told him I completely understand that I am within "normal" processing time, but explained that the information they provide us at USCIS is inaccurate since people have been approved after the dates they tell us and with no updates to the tracker. He of course said they must've been expedited applications and I said I know many instances which were not. He understood my frustration and said he would send an inquiry to USCIS with the understanding that he will likely receive the same response.

I totally understand that I haven't been waiting longer than others, but my fiance is from India which is known to be a difficult embassy. We had consulted with a lawyer who advised us that it is in our absolute best interest for me to attend the interview with him (the embassy does allow it) in order to improve our chances of getting approved. It's not required of course, but it will make us feel much better about our chances. We don't have any major red flags, but India is just known to be a tough embassy especially for interracial couples with different faith/cultures. Due to my work the only time I can travel to be out there this year is in September so I booked the trip hoping our NOA2 would arrive within to schedule his interview for while I am there. If we don't receive the NOA2 by the end of this month then there's no way that will happen so that's why I reached out to the senator. If it doesn't work out for me to attend the interview then I'm sure it will all still work out, but hopefully we get some good news soon.

And I hope you get your NOA2 this week!! You are much longer overdue than I am!

4 month mark for us and still nothing. Everyday an empty mailbox :(. My patience is wearing thin...

USCIS seemingly hates Canadians. Though the Philipines are behind us and those from the Domincan Republic deserve our pity.

Lethargic approval day again here.

So far I have found only 3 reported approvals

2/24, 3/27, 3/15

@twoDs will be happy that one was Canuk

@pajobra will be disappointed the Canuk was not in her nook of the woods heh heh heh)

@AnJ Co is happy 2/3rds of the approvals were before noa1 date

But in all seriousness, we need some more approvals here........

Yep not sure what we did. :( I just want to get to be with my love. Today is one of my bad days. About once a week I break down and today is the day. But I know my day will come someday. My Mum said to me today "You seem to be waiting a long time for an approval" I said you think and then added that most Canadians are and she said hmmm wonder why that is. Oh well tomorrow is another day. I actually put in my countdown app that day 150 is what I am counting towards for NOA2 and that helps a bit gives me a goal and if it comes before then even better. LOL I guess its good I work almost everyday. I am off today which is probably why I am having a hard day. I have more time to think.

I've noticed a pattern in NOA2s for May and June that I suspect will be repeated in July, which is they get concentrated around mid-month and then drop off a lot at the end of the month. I wouldn't count on a lot more but we can always hope the dam has broken and we'll get flooded with new NOA2s.

Since I have a magic program now in my R statistics package, being the geek I am, here's the breakout of reported NOA2 dates and number of NOA2s issued for all March filers as of last night:

The soul-crusher days to us are when someone gets a visa near our file date. Not that we blame them at all.

I've mentioned before we used a lawyer and his paralegal dropped our case not once, but twice, due to family emergencies. Every document needed to file the K1 was provided by Jan 20th, and our case wasn't mailed until 3/8. Even a week sooner and we'd likely have avoided the massive delays. Honestly when you see a visa or even a POE from someone that's less than a week before you and you don't even have a NOA2, it puts you on the verge of tears. We've had a couple bad days because of that lately.

Congrats on your approval. I am happy for you but very jealous.

I think I better just stay away from VJ today. I will be back tomorrow. Love you all.
