Since you brought up ages, that's one of our concerns, as we have a pretty big age gap and that's not common with US/Canadian applicants and thought that might be a flag.

We spent 140 days together in the US the first year of dating but we've been apart except for a brief visit to Canada a month ago, so you'd think it'd look like a legitimate relationship but the ways of the USCIS are a mystery to us.

Eh I don't think its uncommon at all. Chris and I are 10 years and 10 months apart. He likes to joke how he found himself a young bride. LMAO and I call him my old man.

Thank you!! Luis actually has always had a little issue going through CBP - there is someone with a similar name to his that is on some sort of CBP "list".  Once they got that sorted out they just asked him my name, my DOB and when we planned on getting married.  Then gave him a paper about needing to get married within 90 days or he will be out of status. In all he said it wasn't too bad.

Thats wonderful. :D I hope we all have such smooth entries. My last trip into the US I was asked like 20 questions mainly about ties back to Canada. I didn't know the BP officer at the border crossing I always drive across so that might have been why. 3 others that work there know me quite well although this one relaxed once he saw my NOA1 notice and said glad you are doing things the right way. LOL Who knew the right way was sooo long or at least it feels that way. lol

Its a new week and hopefully new NOA2s on the way!

Has anyone that has received and RFE for the end of June/ beginning of July received a NOA2 yet? I feel like we are forgotten :(

There are a couple in the database now, March Filers, June RFEs, July NOA2s:

We're 23 years apart :o we're past the old man jokes and she's moved on to the "when you're dead" jokes. :D We're an unlikely couple and neither of us expected to get married but turned out to be a perfect match or we wouldn't be going through all this K1 nonsense.

lol Nothing wrong with that age gap. :D Neither of you has been married before?

My fiance Chris was married for 20 years when his ex-wife told him she had been cheating on him with her business partner for a while and wanted a divorce. Him and I were friends the last 2 years of his marriage before his divorce but thats all we were friends. He actually thought I was a lesbian because the online person I was with was female online but in RL really a guy. LOL So he thought of me as this close friend he could tell anything to and I helped him through his divorce. His ex is a piece of work. They had 5 kids together. Youngest is 15 oldest is 22. She took him at his lowest and convinced him to let her new husband adopt the kids. So he signed over rights. Course now she is regretting it. Her mother passed away 2 years ago and left her 700k which she burnt through and is now wishing she had child support money but because he signed them over she can't get him for anything. I told him that is just fine for us and he agrees now and his kids do call him at least once a week and text him more. :) Then last year he came online after about a 5 month hiatus and we started chatting and never looked back. :) I knew I wanted to marry him the moment I met him in RL last December for the first time. I drove down to Rapid City, SD from Manitoba and he drove up from Colorado Springs, CO. I have met many many online friends but never one I was romantically interested in but I knew I had to meet him and the rest is history.

<snip>

One of us was, briefly (lasted less than 3 years) more than 20 years ago. It has to be hubby-to-be, as the the bride-to-be would have been five at the time, lol.

Like you our situation was online and totally unexpected, if it weren't for the timing of a once-a-year business trip on her part that had a layover in a nearby city, we'd have never have met in person and none of this would have happened.

Well then like Chris and I it was meant to be. Something that just happened. People always ask me how we knew and I always say I am not sure. LOL

So happy for everyone who has received their NOA2!! Hopefully USCIS gets their act together and the NOA2's keep coming in. I've been trying to distract myself from this agonizing wait by focusing my energy into more productive things. I wish I could say it makes this process easier, but it really doesn't! haha. The only thing keeping me strong is that I'm going to visit my fiance in 39 days. Sad that it seems impossible now for me to attend his interview during the time I'm there, but at least I will get to see him soon. Anyway, happy Monday March whiners!!

P.S. if you have Wordpress please feel free to follow my blog!! I've made a few posts recently about being in a LDR :)

Oh wow I was just in the middle of reading your blog post me, you, and the longest 9000 miles in the world and I started bawling because even though I am only 979 miles from my love its still hard so hard. I felt your pain your heartache so much and I agree technology helps but there is nothing like being in his arms. I am loving your blog. My blog has been at a standstill for years. Maybe I should pick it up again. Someone recently told me I should blog my experience and I was like who would want to read that. LMAO well I guess the answer is people who are going through it themselves. Thank you for posting your blog. :)

I keep going back and forth on mine as well.  My case number shows up as 3/31 on the My Case Status and app tracker, but my notice date would put me at 4/5.  I haven't even seen an approval for 3/31 though, so either way I'm sittin tight.

Ditto. I'm trying to get too anxious until April approvals start to roll in consistently. I'm way past the initial estimate and have watched that CSC processing graph get taller and taller. Not much I can do about it except be impotently irritated.

aw yay I'm glad you love it!! And you're most welcome for sharing. Writing is a form of therapy for me but also a passion I've always had. Even if nobody reads my posts, it still helps me to just write out what I am feeling. Regardless of how many miles are between us, we can all relate to the heartache that comes along with being apart from the person we love. (L)

You should definitely pick up your blog again! If it helps you to write your experiences then it's definitely worth it. And I highly recommend Wordpress if you haven't used it before; it's a great platform. Super easy and well-designed free templates.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

I pushed my NOA1 date to April 3, my notice date, rather than March 28, the received date. I've still seen conflicting information from VJ and other sources. Some other sites say USCIS goes by receive date, and others (VJ) say they go by notice date. It put my estimated adjudication date to this week. When you run a scan and examine the cases in numerical order, they do go by receipt date, which gives credence to the claim that USCIS goes by that date. In the end, I guess that's not really important. It will happen when it happens, but I wish you the best of luck as my NOA1 twin!

Yes, USCIS goes by received date, but VJ timelines go by notice date. It works for me, since I'll get less anxious thinking my time has already past when it's our turn (supposedly next week), since if I used received date NOA2 would  be supposed to arrive earlier. Not that it's really that accurate, but still... :)

@pajobra I guess you'll never let me forget I said that. Well, I'm still sticking to it. Things are moving for March, but nothing is happening on April thread yet, so stay where the action is. Once we start getting good news, everyone is welcome to join :D

This has also been a worry/concern of mine with USCIS since there is also a few years between me and mine. On the flip side, we rarely talk about age. Wasn't something either of us were looking for, but since we have found each other, we don't really see an age...we just see each other =) I don't know... age is just a number.

The June 26th date kinda puts much into perspective... explains a lot =(
