Yes my fiancé sent a personal check. I will have him checked again later when he wakes up. Where your service center?

Well, I have only sent to Lockbox in Dallas and I will know which service center it will be at when I get the NOA1 hard copy? CA seems to have more going on and I know I'm in WA state, but, I'm really hoping its not in CA  lol  From what I have seen, I think, if I am remembering correctly, TX or VT is quicker right now

Yea of course, I'm willing to help in any kind of way! This forum has been nothing but helpful to me especially since I thought I was going to have to get a lawyer to do it all for me.

The DS-160 can be done beforehand. I have everything filled out on it for my fiance (I'm the petitioner) except his dads address, but we still have a couple months to get that information from him. He just sent me a picture of his passport and all the other questions that I didn't know I asked him while we were chatting on Whatsapp. He then went into the website and verified everything I filled out was correct. Make sure to save all of your information and to go into the application at least once every 2 weeks or so. I think the application deletes itself after 20 days of inactivity if you don't submit it and you'll have to start a new one.

For the affidavit of support, I recommend bringing more than what you think they would need. It's better to have it and them not ask for it, than for them to ask for it and not have it. That'll just make you have to wait even longer to enter the US, or your fiance to enter the US. This is what I've gathered for my affidavit of support: 2013-2016 W2's, tax transcripts and will be getting a letter from my job. I'll also be printing out my bank statements showing my deposits from my job for those years just in case my bank can't provide me the letter with all the information needed on it. The letter from my job and the letter from the bank is what I'm waiting on doing so that it'll be dated closer to the interview date.

As for right now, you can do a lot to get it out of the way beforehand and not be in a scramble to do everything once the time comes. Usually on your/your fiance's country embassy website it should have a checklist of what you need to do such as the medical and police certificates. It'll also tell you everything you need to bring to the interview. I've also filled out everything my fiance will need for his AOS and his social security card, well as much as I could without his A number and some other info. I know that once the fiance arrives into the US everything usually goes really quickly. So, for example as soon as my fiance enters, we'll be going to get his social security card (probably a couple days after so he can get some rest before the madness starts), and seeing about getting his drivers license.. After that, we'll get married and then send in his AOS packet so he can start working as quickly as possible.

I've also started thinking of things we can do around the city so I can get him accustomed to Houston since he's never been here nor in the US before. I've also been thinking about the honeymoon, since he won't be able to travel outside of the country until his AP comes, I was thinking of asking one of my sisters bestfriend's to use one of her timeshares in Austin or somewhere else. That way we can do a little get away but still stay within the US. I've also started buying him some clothes/shoes so when he comes he can have some what of a wardrobe because it may be cold by the time he gets here and Cuba doesn't really have clothes for the cold... or well clothes period for that matter lol

You sound like me!!!  I have done most of this too except the DS-160 because I couldn't find it... where exactly do I find this?  lol  and the I-130.
I also have a timeshare and was trying to think of a good place for a honeymoon. We are hoping he will be here in the fall and then do a Dec wedding. So, I already booked a room for that. I was given a suggestion of Cocoa Beach and that was where I initially booked, but, then I realized we would be so close to Orlando, even flying in to Orlando and started looking into the cost of theme park tickets and realized, maybe I should have a week in Orlando (we are going for 2 weeks) and then have the 2nd week in Cocoa Beach. The place that I found in Orlando... my jaw hit the floor when I found it. It was perfect in EVERY way. So, some background real quick lol  When we had our first meeting my fiancé talked quite a bit about wanting to go to Sea World, but he could not enter the US because he only had a passport and the US requires him to have a Visa. So, anyhow, this place that I found in Orlando is called the Hilton Grand Vacations at Sea World and is right across the street from there! Not only is that amazing, but from all the reviews and pics that I have seen, this place is amazing! I started thinking some more.. I would not mind spending both weeks here! lol Well, when he woke up I called him up and told him about it, gave him the link and after he looked at it, he said, This place looks so great I wouldn't mind spending both weeks here." I laughed and said... that's what I said! so, the next day, I called and switched the 2nd week from Cocoa Beach. After all, how great can the beaches be in Dec and if we want, the beaches on either side of Orlando are about an hr drive so it's not like we couldn't still go. Never dreamed of spending my honeymoon in Orlando and now it's happening lol Oh, and I have no intentions of going to Disney, unless he REALLy wants to. I went there quite some time ago, and the other places are just far more impressive in my opinion. Plus other reviews on other sites, people have said the exact same thing. Plus Disney is just so expensive.
I have also looked in to the SS card, and thought about the drivers license, wedding officiant, not sure how I want to do the wedding yet... I would have liked to have had a beach wedding, but again, it's Dec and in WA.. that would not be a good plan. I have looked in to a lot of different things for the wedding and reception and I feel like I need to be coming up with something soon, but... I just don't know where I want to hold it. I know I don't want anything large and I know I want something simple. I have spent a lot of time looking in to so much! lol It's amazing how time flies by when you are researching good stuff  hehe
Oh, and I have told him to get on top of his shots and make sure all that is current, that way, when it's time for his medical, he will be good to go, but his job is so lame and his work hours don't really permit him to do anything extra, so, im not sure how he is going to get this done. How soon before the interview can he get his police report/certificate? I would think/hope that could be done on a weekend.

.....

The DS-160 can be found on https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

That sounds like it's going to be so much fun!!! And you're right, the beaches are going to be FREEZING at that time, so you won't even have that much fun if you were to go. I remember I went to Jamaica in Nov for thanksgiving vacation and the water was sooooo cold.. I'm sure it tightened up ALL of my skin, but it was torture even trying to get into the water LOL. Seaworld is a great choice!

I'm right there with you on the wedding. My fiance and I talked about it a little bit and agreed on just doing a courthouse wedding and then having a dinner/little party at my grandparents house since they have a few acres. I feel bad having a true wedding ceremony and reception without his family so we talked about maybe saving up some money and doing a big wedding at the resort that we met at in Cuba. We'll see what happens.

As for the police report, it depends on how long it takes to process it and all that, but I would get it maybe a few weeks to a month before the interview. I think the most important thing is getting the medical done RIGHT before the interview so that it's still valid when he enters the US and applies for AOS.

Thank you!! I really appreciate you sending over the scripts and all the info & for starting the scripts in the first place. They are extremely helpful even though there's nothing being done with March petitions yet lol. @AkesAngel is helping me, but if I get stuck and we can't figure out the answer I'll definitely reach out.

You should get your NOA1 by Monday or Tuesday through text/email if you filled out the G-1145. If not then it'll take about a week or so to get the NOA1 through snail mail.

I did send the G-1145 and I made a video of my packet so I went back to look at the video and my info is entered correctly. There is no reason for them not to text me =/

Hey guys. Me and @AkesAngel are working on getting the scans together. Just wanted to give y'all an update. I should have everything ready and can start doing daily scans within the next week. There probably won't be any movement on our cases for another few weeks, more or less, so it'll be right on time for us to track our updates.

Sorry, I am not sure what you mean by scans... scans of what?
