And you're UK too!  If all goes well, we might have very similar timelines throughout.

I sent a money order too.  It actually seems like the checks are taking a tad longer.  Maybe they have to wait for them to clear whereas money order is prepaid?

Good point with the money order being prepaid. Yes, this will be interesting to see exactly how similar our timelines will be. Good luck.

I'm not sure if the check or money order has anything to do with it. I think it depends on how many packets they get a day and kind of the luck of the draw type of thing.

I sent a check, because I wanted to make sure it was cashed and had evidence of it and my NOA1 came pretty quickly. From what I read in another post that was asking a former adjudicator questions they said that the people who accept the packages at the lockboxes usually take the money order/checks and puts them in a safe for the Brinks Security Company to take them to the bank to cash.. My check was cashed a few days after my packet was delivered.

Some just take longer than others and we may never understand the process.. That's with NOA2's as well. A lot of people are getting their NOA2's that have submitted their packet after another person submitted theirs and that other person hasn't received anything. Some people are on day 150 of waiting for the NOA2 when others got theirs on day 83 or 75. It's really just up to whoever grabbed the box your packet is in and how fast they process those documents. But, we'll all get there eventually. Just have to practice patience, something I'm working on as well lol

I hope you get a response soon too, I know how rough it is to wait just to have the clock start ticking away for your NOA2.

I've learned all this is just a HUGE waiting game until your significant other is by your side. The good thing is it's not as long of a wait as the CR-1 visa is. I can't imagine being married and having to be away from my husband for so long, but I guess our situation is similar because we're waiting for our future spouses. We just have a 6-9 month wait while they have a 12-18 month wait. It's crazy!

My thought exactly. I think it is more of when your packet was pulled from the pile.

Sometimes after I hang up from a video skype chat with my fiance in the evenings I just start crying. My poor cat just looks at me and tries to console me. It is sooo tough to be away from them. I can't imagine though being over seas away though. Least I am just a 16 hour drive from my fiance although we are not seeing each other til he comes up to get me when I go down there as we are trying to save our money. Distance is soooo hard. I agree with trying to work and you can't focus. At my work place they are kinda just used to me staring off into space now and again and they all know why. Luckily I am the Assistant Administrator in a Public Library so its not a tough tough job. lol

We still don't have noa 1 :(

what if we submit another packet would that help? Guess not. It's just stressing me out

I feel your pain. I mailed mine on the 31st and never got a text or an email. Tonight I checked my bank account and found that they had cashed my check so hoping to get that hard copy soon =) Did you send a personal check to see if they deposited it?

Hello everyone, I was wondering for proof of intent to marry, did that letter have to be formal with a signature or could you have submitted a text or email from your fiancé stating the intent?

I believe everything has to be signed and then snail mailed to you so you can send in the documents with the signature. My fiancé downloaded and printed everything himself and then signed it and mailed it to me. I had him send me 3 copies of everything in case there was to ever be a problem. Wait, did your fiancé send you the passport style photo signed? The other papers should have been sent to you with that picture in the mail. The picture also needs to be signed and dated from everything that I had seen. I had watched a video on youtube that this lawyer had put together and he kept saying that everything should be signed in blue ink that way there would not be an issue to it being the real deal or not.

Hi Debbie,

While I'm a little neurotic, I've gathered 90% of the docs I'm suppose to have for the interview. I've filled out most of the DS-160 as well, so I'm just waiting for the NOA2 and until my fiance goes back to Cuba for him to do his part and get the other 10% done. I've also filled out most of the paperwork needed when we get married to submit his AOS... Things were really slow at work and then again I'm impatient lol

Got my NOA1 in the mail a few days after my text.. Hopefully since the NOA1 came quick, my NOA2 will come just as quick... Praying no more than 90 days! :D Just a couple more months to go! :jest::dance:

Hi, that sounds amazing! If you have extra time, I was wondering if you could give some insight as to what could be done during the "wait". I tried looking into the DS-160 and it didn't look like anything that could be looked into at this time. Please tell me if I am missing something with that.
Also, I am going to assume you took care of the I-130... when I was looking at this, it seems they want a LOT of info backing this information up, what are your thoughts on all this info? I have considered just sending my W-2, 401k statement along with another asset with it and calling it good because I have did much research on stuff and found that a lot of times, most of that other stuff is not even really looked at if there doesn't seem to be a problem. I really don't wanna deal with all the bank stuff and pay stubs and letter from employer HR if its not REALLY necessary. Just seems like a lot of work for nothing.
So, yeah, just wondering what else I could be doing with this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D I just wanna be on top of it and ready to do send what I need to as soon as I get the word to do so so that the process does not get delayed any longer then it already feels lol

Yes my fiancé sent a personal check. I will have him checked again later when he wakes up. Where your service center?
