sorry im at work, was digging to figure out how or why ... it was from our lawyer... but they didn't send me anything lolol.. all she sent me was the pdf, so I had her forward the whole email to me... so it wasn't from uscis... but surprisingly I got the noa1 before them last time but not the noa2....

Thank you for clarifying! That helps my logical way of thinking.

Who cares why as long as it's there? Yay!

I thought the lawyer got it via snail mail, therefore the attached PDF. USCIS tracker only changes the status, doesn't send you any document, right? :)

If a 3rd party fills out your 129f, they have to place their name and contact info on the 129f.  The system is broke and doesn't notify the person registered on uscis site but apparently the attorney notification part worked? or your theory the mailing address for attorney filed petitions is the attorney....  I dunno.  Seems uscis would still mail atty filed petitions to the petitioner.  I'm so confused lol

So I m ready to send all the documents to my fiancé for an interview.  I don't have an employment letter since I m self employed. Don't have paystubs either because it's direct deposit to my bank account.  But I do have the tax return for last year and I m way above the poverty line.  Does neone no how much do I really need in my bank account (minimum)?

I think the i-134 actually asks for all your bank accounts, and all personal assets, stocks, bonds, and life insurance. So I don't think you can offer up a token minimal amount in one account -- this is more like providing a complete balance sheet of your net worth.

I was also told that we'd need three years of tax returns and also recent bank statements for every account I have. There's a second form for AOS (i-864) that's going to need the same things, and presumably they'd better be close to the I-134 filing.

This is one area where if you have concerns a lawyer might actually useful (much as I loathe to say it.)

You might want to look at this VJ thread, which says that if you meet the income requirements, assets aren't required, though as a self-employed applicant I'd imagine it's going to help you.

Also, 3 years of tax returns may serve as stronger evidence that you have consistently remained above poverty level, if you have. Assets are less valuable evidence unless you are trying to squeak yourself over that $16k threshold. Don't be worried about cash on hand in your accounts. It's kinda scary to say, but the average American usually has less than $500 available. If you have more than that, you're in a minority!
