I understand your concerns as we all have them but this is a fairly simple situation so mail it per instructions asap and you'll get your approval in no time. Good luck!

For those who need a smile.. this link will do the trick! Not mine... just something that my F shared with me sometime back and its one of my favs out there =)

Ok, I have to say it... this little kitty must have felt how we are feeling at that moment... so close, but still out of reach and with no control over the situation  lol

Dear Whiners, thank you for your kind words! I'm sorry I haven't replied to every message, I'm just so terribly busy, sleep-deprived and stressed out:blink:

I just got a phone call from the embassy - everything is ready, I can schedule the interview and the medical! Yaaayyyy!

I won't go until the end of August anyway, but at least now I don't have to worry about my case being lost, having wrong DOB, sent to Uganda and what not:)

Congratulations on all the good news that you've had recently! @TearsOfBabylon , the biggest weirdo, I'm happy that your X-ray phobia is not bugging you anymore:)

Everyone who is still waiting - sending you lots of good vibes and virtual hugs, crossing all my body parts for you and hoping that you are all approved soon!

Olya, congratulations!!! I am following your updates and always get good news about our case one day later. So it means for me that we will get news from embassy today or tomorrow. Have you filled out DS-160 already? Was it easy to do for kids?

Feb filer here, just curious if anyone has had an RFE here? I just wanted to know other peoples experiences. The app updated us of the RFE on the 12th July, we got the letter on the 17th July and we returned it on the 18th July. We missed the criminal record box (quite possibly the worst box we could've missed ).

How long did it take to get the approval after you sent it etc.... I've read horror stories that it can delay you by 2 months

131 day since case active

Rfe-19th of June

We sent out requested back to them on 30th of June

They confirm on 05th of July

Today is 20th of July :D

I guess it depends what was rfe about

I remember @elisaveta and @eric&olya were approved in a week later i think after responding to USCIS. Correct me pls if I am wrong :D

What was your RFE if you don't mind me asking, ours was a missed box for 'have you committed any criminal offenses'. The RFE was a simple sign yes or no and send back. We responded back 'no' so i was hoping this will just be an easy fix.

Either they have lost all the evidence we sent or I do not know...

They confirmed receiving the lots of photos but they asked 1+1=2

Proof we met in last two years before filing the petition. We really sent some receipts with pics ( pics with date and place label from I phone gallery )

But this time as respond to rfe  we sent passport stamps showing we cross the boarder at the same time on same place, some ACM statements from that city in Croatia, booking reference, original concert tickets with labeled pics, print out of the web site where we were on the premiere of the movie.

One with his family.

We were together on vacation when rfe came :/

You know what sarcasm is? We live together and rented apartment here in Bosnia :)

He is self employed so he's been working couple of months in us and next 3/4 here. So when he is here we live together and we need to proof we met in last two years. There are some couples met only once in person for last two years but have sent this one simple proof such as boarding pass, hotel receipt...

So yours should be an easy fix hope you will get an approval soon.

I think it was @Eric&Olya who also forgot to check that same box, and their case was approved like a week after they sent the response to RFE. Really fast!

Just wanted to remind ya that it was at this time (July 5th), it seemed they took a 7+ day hiatus and that is probably why it feels like yours is taking some time... because it is! but, if you add a week to the (let's be generous) the 13th (since that is when they started working on a few cases again) then that would put your approval at around the 20th.. which is today! =) let's hope your NOA2 is to you no later than a week from today! :jest: Hopefully sooner, but hey, who wouldn't be happy with a week from now at this point? =) Good luck to you and a speedy delivery of your NOA2!

I  am sometime a day dreamer and hope our case was approved and sent to nvc and to our embassy but USCIS officers just forgot to issue hard copy :jest:

Don't ask me, lol. I just know it's an observed holiday in Utah. But thank you for clarifying that about mail, I didn't even ask my fiance, I just assumed, duh... Because here there's no mail in local holidays.

Not that I'm really expecting anything yet, but always thrilling to play Wheel of Fortune Informed Delivery edition.

BTW, good luck to you getting something in the mail too... About time!

Edit. Uh oh... You sounded so sure of it before editing  LOL, we'll survive anyway.

LOL after I looked it up I saw it was a holiday in Utah and I wasn't sure if the state could decide to halt mail service on a day or not. I guess you will be able to tell us for sure if your F gets mail on fancy Pioneer day!! haha :)

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."
