HAHAHAHA  I had to squint and look close.  I thot you hit the Power BALL lol

I'd like to hit the power ball, I'd trade the ticket to ......... Well, that would be bribery

If I hit the power ball, I'd be on the first flight to see my fiancee I could get with only the clothes on my back. We'd go shopping for new clothes and things for both of us tomorrow. My brother has an extra key to my place, so he could send me any mail I might receive and we'd eventually fly back together after the interview and everything.

Pioneer Day? Call me a terrible American, but what on Earth is that!? Haha. Pretty sure whatever it is, mail still will be delivered as normal. Unless it's a Federal recognized holiday then mail is still delivered (I think?).

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Don't ask me, lol. I just know it's an observed holiday in Utah. But thank you for clarifying that about mail, I didn't even ask my fiance, I just assumed, duh... Because here there's no mail in local holidays.

Not that I'm really expecting anything yet, but always thrilling to play Wheel of Fortune Informed Delivery edition.

BTW, good luck to you getting something in the mail too... About time!

Edit. Uh oh... You sounded so sure of it before editing  LOL, we'll survive anyway.

I would like to add something. I have seen several people talking about how their F's don't believe that they have sent in the packets... talk about adding fuel to the fire. This blows my mind when I see people saying these things. I would be devastated if my F accused me of this. I want him with me just as much as he wants to be physically with me. I am not so stressed, but I do have my times where I get sad that he isn't and if he were to accuse me of this, it would add much unnecessary tension to our relationship. I am not sure what you guys have did in regards to what I am about to say, but I know that when I had my packet all together and ready to go, I had recorded everything that was in it because I wanted him to see all the work I had put into it plus I wanted to have proof for myself of what I had sent in case something happened to it because I have read about things like this happening. I did not do it though because I thought he would ever doubt me. Just did it because I wanted to share it with him.
Anyhow, you are in a real relationship with your F's and they should truly 110% trust you and I am sorry for anyone who is going through this because I can't imagine how much more stress that would add to an already unbearable situation.
Just remember snail mail is slow and your approvals could be on their way if you have not received an RFE by text or email =) because we know that they are working on cases!
Best of luck to everyone no matter what stage you are at! =)

Yeah that blows my mind as well. When my fiance came to Canada to meet my Mum and siblings we filled it all out then and a week after he got back he mailed it out. :) Actually I watched him on skype put everything in the envelope and seal it up. lol Not because I wanted to see it but because he wanted us to do it together as much as we could given the distance. :D

It's a state holiday celebrating the founding of the state of Utah. I'm not sure if federal employees working in Utah have it off or not. It wouldn't surprise me since government workers tend to have anything that could remotely be considered a holiday off. :P

You guys are lucky! You may have an accent, but you are an English speaker which I am sure helps =) My F's English is great, but when we first met not as great so there have been quite a few arguments basically due to misunderstandings lol Since his English is so much better now, there really have not been these misunderstandings in quite some time. And we both just want the same thing so bad and we just don't want to waste any of the little time we have chatting wasted on arguing.

I can totally see that happening when English is not the first language. I am lucky that we both speak English as a first language. He also speaks German, Hebrew and Latin LOL due to his Lutheran schooling. Me I read French very well and speak it a little and write it not at all. lol I still have nightmares from Grade 11 French of Madame Hanks yelling EN FRANCAIS LES ENFANTS EN FRANCAIS  everytime we spoke English in class instead of french LOL

But I have to edit to say she's right, they go by federal holidays, so yay to Pioneer's Day, vacation and mail :jest:

lololol ive never had a bad argument but as she says its bad English .. she sometimes misunderstands slang or how we use some words or quotes.. I think she misunderstands me more than I misunderstand her...

lol I worked with a lot of people from India when I was in the Food industry and I remember after a busy lunch hour I said holy it was nuts today. I remember Darshan looking at me quizzically and said nuts like peanuts, almonds and I said oh its um slang for busy, crazy, tons of people. LOL He said oh NUTS and then started using it all the time. So I started teaching them other slang words. LOL

This is the part that's killing me inside as well. I have no ill will against those that are getting approved but it seems insanely unfair that people with NOA1s not even a week ahead of ours are waiting for visas to arrive and we haven't even seen a NOA2, and as far as I can tell the USCIS has no credible justification for why.

I am so with you on this its just makes no sense at all. There is no rhyme or reason to how they seem to do anything down there. :( And here we wait. Same though I am so happy that those approved are approved. I just hope that soon you and I can also dance around and trust me if my fiance messages me at work that our NOA2 is here I will get up from my desk and dance in the middle of the library. Although so many patrons are rooting for me and my fiance they would probably dance with me. LOL

No NOA2 here yet. Just when I got myself into a nice "He'll be here by the end of the year, focus on preparing for grad school" mentality, everyone and their mother started asking me "Has Nick gotten his visa yet?". Seriously, I've had 7 family members ask in the last 2 days. As if I wouldn't post all over Facebook once he had lol.

HA I feel the same way. Its like I will be yelling it from the rooftops if we get it trust me EVERYONE will know. I live in a very small village and news of my engagement spread like wildfire. LOL I am sooo tired of the question "Have you heard anything yet?" Its like if I had you would know. lol

I've been laying low on VJ for months so that I could keep my mind occupied on other things while waiting for the NOA2... well, we finally got the letter yesterday!

Our mailperson occasionally puts things in the wrong mailbox at our apartments, since multiple times I've had to take wrongly-delivered letters to my neighbors that I got in my box. Like the address was totally fine, but just placed in the wrong box. My nightmare has always been that something really important would get mis-delivered... and it looks like our NOA2 probably was, since it was sitting on the apartment lobby bench rather than in my locked mailbox.  Thank the neighborly soul who didn't just return it to sender or trash it!! Jeez.

Anyway, the date on the letter was July 12th. My fiance has been visiting me this summer, and we still have over a month left of his visit. We had been anxiously awaiting the NOA2 arrival together. Today we're going to take a daytrip to the beach to celebrate :D

Fingers crossed for everyone else still waiting in this thread!

CONGRRATULATIONSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU

yeahh that is totally adding fuel to the fire. I mean...we've done most of our part, its just USCIS taking forever in which I guess some beneficiaries do not understand that.

We did our part, and from then on, the USCIS is beyond our control as far as for processing times

Looking at Igor's list it seems that everything from 3/16 NOA1 and forward is pretty patchy, but still slowly filling in. I'm bringing up the tail end of the month and there are still 6 approvals and 1 RFE following me on the list (3 x 7/12 approvals and one 7/18 RFE). I'm sure many of us have NOA2s in transit! Still would be nice if they would fix their :ranting: tracking and electronic notification system...

I wouldn't say prior to 3/16 is very filled. Prior to 3/11 is doing OK but still has its share of no NOA2s as well.

On a personal note, only 2 out of 16 Canadian filers in March have NOA2s. I've noticed when you look at the results by countries there's quite a bit of grouping (saw the same for Mexico NOA2s, filers but no NOA2s.) Lots for the Philipines but that could be due to so many filers rather than so many NOA2s being issued.

Two more days and we'll have 3 weeks into July with very few notices. June had 88 NOA2s issued from 6/1 -6/19. July is currently at 25. And the average time to NOA2 has exploded as you'd imagine as a result.
