Thank you! :)
I've called myself a couple of times, at different times of the day, and I never was on hold longer than 5 minutes. I was afraid of waiting lines for 30+ minutes! Lucky me in that case! :)

Thank you for crossing the fingers! :)

Definitly, keeping my fingers cross for you both and all of the couples here waiting to get approved. Keep us posted. 🙂

Our RFE letter arrived today and they were asking for beneficiary's intent to marry (i'm the beneficiary) thank goodness that's all :D In the packet, we have sent them our LOI stating "we intend to marry" with both of our signatures in just one letter. It seems like they want the LOI be individualized for the petitioner and beneficiary.

I'm just wondering if I can include some of our text conversations about the wedding plans (since we haven't booked any venues yet) in the LOI? And is it necessary to have a RFE cover letter?

Great! That's an easy fix! :)
There's a Letter of Intent required for the beneficiary and the petitioner, one for each.
If they just ask for that, just send that.
If they'd want more evidence, they'd have asked you.

I'd stick with what they asked you for!
Don't forget, it has to be with wet signature! :)
Good luck! :)

The letter states "evidence of the beneficiary's intent may be a statement from the beneficiary, wedding preparations or other evidence that establishes her intent to marry".

Aside from the letter of intent, can i also include screenshots of our text convos about our wedding plans?  I also have a tailored-made dress that I'm planning to wear on the wedding day (i just need to ask the tailor to give me a receipt). Will those suffice?

We just had a plain letter for each of us in the petition documents, stating that we're intenting on marriage.
Evidence was put seperately. You must have submitted your evidence already?

And it sounds to me like they'd want one of the listed things to verify you want to get married. So for my eye the LOI would be enough.

Maybe others will reply, who had a RFE for the same reason, and tell you what they sent! :)

My thoughts, this is a one chance deal to fix what they need to approve you.  I believe I would drive it home with what I had that was specifically asked for.  Definitely include the LOI, then anything else on the list that you have.  I would however avoid the appearance that you are making up additional evidence, like a wedding gown receipt dated after the date of the RFE.  Even though it is legitimate, it could cast a shadow on your evidence.

I agree with what @AnJ Co just told you. Send the letter of intent definitely and any receipts or emails for arrangements if you have any prior to the RFE, but I don't think screenshots of your conversations or chats are that relevant to them.

LOI should suffice, and that's a quick easy fix so you can send your respond ASAP.

Good luck!

Absolutely nothing other than the intent to marry. Write a statement, sign it and mail it asap. I you add more stuff it'll just confuse them, and delay the approval. We talked to a tier 2 when we got our RFE, and he was pretty clear about only sending what you are specifically asked for. Good luck

This is the easiest and most straightforward way to answer the RFE. Sign a letter of intent and mail away!! Don't worry about receipts and all that other stuff. Most people only send letters of intent with their original I-129F filing and have no issue with that requirement.
