It was EXACTLY the same last year... April filers even started to get approvals while many Match filers were still waiting... March turned out to be the slowest filing month of 2016.. let's hope 2017 picks up :)

It's still the same DS160,  I'm keeping updated and helping ppl on here :)

Thank you! Same to you :)

Ok, convinced. I need to re-read what she needed it for. :))

I was a very lonely and depressed person! Lol I tried to stay busy with preparing for job hunting to stay sane. Researching DL's, getting SSN, Bank accounts, insurance, taxes (woops oh and getting married!! Hahaha) ... I spent a lot of time looking at companies and researching on how to improve my resume.. It's very different from the Europe more common CV standard. I would have my intermittent breakdowns... being without friends and such... but luckily with a husband to pick me up. :)

This is what I fear most for my fiancee. She currently works more hours than I do per week, but most of her hobbies are home based things like reading, studying and various crafts. We have a hobby shop within walking distance and I have an aunt that lives nearby that shares many of the same hobbies. My best friend from high school also has an awesome wife that has promised to do her best to befriend my fiancee and be available to drop by or run her around as needed when I'm at work until she gets her driver's license. I also learned that she has two former classmates from her college that have married each other. One has earned her Ph.D. on a student visa and the other is currently studying with my little brother in the IT field. Small world!

see it as a vacation .. that is what I'm gonna do :P

I am gonna do that too probably. I look forward though to helping fix up the apartment to more me and him instead of him since he has been a bachelor in it for 3 years. LOL He went through his clothes and finally got rid of everything that does not fit him and took it to goodwill and then went through his bookshelves and took a bunch to a used bookstore. We already have a joint bank account as we did that when I was down there a few weeks ago. :D They had no problem adding this Canadian to his account and told me to just bring in the marriage certificate and ssn when I had them and we would update it.

Sounds like your fiancée will have a good support system :)

And that is quite the coincidence! Hahaha

I'm sorry I don't know exactly how many he did end up sending. We had read that it was about quality more than quantity so he didn't want to send in everything I had printed off, but there was quite a lot.

We sent in itineraries for trips to see each other, email and chat conversations between us, receipts of gifts to each other and pictures of us with those gifts, scans of cards we sent each other (birthday etc.), screen shots of conversations between us and each others' family members, house closing and mortgage docs, my wedding dress receipt, letters from both of our employers...

we also did a page-long explanation about how we met and how often we've visited and when he proposed etc.

I am not sure though that this has anything to do with how long the process takes or has any effect on if you are approved. Some send in far less and are approved too. Ours did seem quick but there's no way to tell if it had anything to do with what we provided compared to anyone else.
