Hi Everyone! Fellow march filer here.  My case status recently just changed from in transit to ready on the NVC website. My fiance or i still have not received any formal documents or packet 3 from NVC yet. Can I still go ahead, pay and schedule my interview with out packet 3? I was told by my attorney that I need a letter from packet 3 to schedule the interview. This is for the Manila embassy.

You cannot expect any answer to this question, as you do not have a timeline filled out, and after NVC, every case is embassy specific.

At least, you need to include the embassy in your question.  A great resource is the Country Portals found here on this site that has answers to embassy specific questions.

Hey all!
So I had taken a break from this site because I just wanted to stay busy and keep my mind from focusing on this too much, but when I see that my estimated processing date keeps getting pushed back farther and farther and is now at the end of July and after reading some of the posts on here (It's taking me forever to catch up on posts and am currently on page 372 lol but I could not wait a second longer to post this) I decided to find out how to get my state senator involved. I went on to Google and long story short found the info I was looking for, made a call because I wasn't sure if I could contact by email or if they wanted an actual letter in hand, the lady who answered told me that all they could do was call and see where my case is and if it is there. She was not the senator, just the person who answers the phone. She said if I wanted her to do that, they would. But, here is my thing... with her attitude, in my opinion, them calling would be the same as me calling... so, how is that any different?! I told her I didn't think it was right that the fees for this process went up by a lot in December and now everyone is just waiting around while they aren't doing anything. She said that was just my opinion and probably not the case and told me again what they could do. The call was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. I just kinda felt like if I could let someone know now, that it might be helpful later on so that they would see the problem is ongoing. But that lady on the other end just didn't seem to care too much.
So, question... do I waste my time contacting a congressman when I feel like I would only get the same response?
Not only has my estimated processing date been moved back, but my number on Igor's list has not really changed much in some time.
I'm not really stressed but lately I do get sad on my 30+ min drive home because it is so late at night and I can't really call anyone to talk to someone that late so my mind starts thinking about this stuff especially when I hear certain songs lol I used to talk to my F on my way home, but since he got his new job, his hours are total opposite of what they were and now he is working when im driving home =(
But yeah... hopefully they start touching the K1's again soon because we did not pay so much money for our cases to just be sitting in a pile and not being touched! That is what makes me annoyed about this. If they were being touched and it took until the end of July, that would be a different story. But, it just seems like they aren't doing anything with ours.
