Wow, you're sooooo close to the final flight..... fingers are crossed for you both tomorrow! :) Hugs!!

Just wanted to say hi and wish you patience and a quick process! CR-1 seems to take sooooooo long right now! :(
I'm gonna move to Newport News,VA, so: Good luck for a speedy process to a future "neighbor"! :)

Aww thank you very much.. You're all very nice peoples...

If they approved my visa it's gonna one year that we're living separate.. My husband is living in Virginia Beach..

If they don't life is gonna be very tough and harder for us because he should leave everything there and move here.. And start everything from beginning...

Okay,

NVC is driving me insane if not crazy already! First operator I spoke with said that DOB is wrong.

I sent them a very comprehensive electronic email of complain, and then called them again.

Put me on hold for 45 minutes and I stayed on the line. (I did stay on the line!!!!!)

Another operator I spoke with easily verified the DOB with no problems. We finally got our NVC number

and sending our case files over to embassy in few days. Why oh why do they need to do that?

Making me panic. Someone needs to put out the sledge hammer! :bonk:

It appears USCIS has put NOA2 approvals are on hold indefinitely since July 07. I searched google and saw news on changes on legal immigration  getting pushed through congress to decrease legal immigration by 50 percent. Reading through this forum some people are mentioning a  conversion to a electronic system and someone else mentioned this occurred in July last year as well. We almost got through and are now held up

Oh no.  I hope it's not true. :(

Lucky you. We still have the same problem at the NVC. My date of birth is still wrong. How did you send an electronic email to them?

I went reading after seeing this and there does seem to be some truth to the government trying to reduce the number of immigrants by half. However, it's focused on non-spousal immigration.

While I think this bill is racist and ####### personally, it doesn't seem like it will affect K1s:

"Right now, U.S. citizens and permanent residents can sponsor a variety of family members, including spouses, parents, siblings and married adult children. Cotton and Perdue’s plan would allow only spouses and unmarried minor children to get green cards, although they would permit visas for aging adult parents whose American children are their caretakers — a population Cotton expects will be modest.

The bill also dumps the diversity visa lottery, which allots about 50,000 visas per year for citizens of countries that traditionally have low rates of immigration to the United States. And it would limit refugees to 50,000 annually — in line with levels outlined in Trump’s controversial executive order."

Funny story about government workers playing cover their butts: I went to mail a surprise to my fiancee and also do the in person identity verification for informed delivery and the lady at the post office had no clue what I was talking about. I walked in and said, "I have two separate items I need to take care of. First, I want to mail this." Hand her the package, paperwork, and pay for it. "Okay, now I need to verify my identity for your informed delivery service." P.O. worker: "What's that?" "It's a service that you guys do that e-mails me a photo of my mail." "We don't do that." "Yes you do." "No we don't." "Then how come it's on your website and I have this e-mail here telling me to come to this address and for you to follow these instructions?" "I don't know what you're talking about." "That's obvious. Do you have a supervisor?" Then the supervisor was able to help me. :jest:

The first person I spoke with said email ask nvc. I did look it up and lead me to https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php . I wrote in the comment / question section. I told the #1 op several times the month-date-year. And even dd/mm/yyyy ; yyyy/dd/mm formats. She simply said: "Birth date did not match on file."

@Yzabelle Hopefully you get yours too ASAP.!

Stubborn German called again, using option 5 instead of option 7 ( @Eric&Olya:D:D:D )....

So the wait was about 1 minute, the very, very nice lady on the phone said we're one of the new electronic cases, they've received our petition on Tuesday, but it's not in the system yet.
So our number should be generated soon! Hooray!
No medical still - but at least they have it! :D:D:D

There you go!

I hope they give you the number soon, and electronic means the embassy will receive it in no time.

Are there any other Germans here? They all should use option 5 then.
