Less than half of us have them! 329 applications and 141 NOA2s according to the database, with only 7 NOA2s issued to March filers in July so far.

No wonder we're all freaking out.

See I knew there was a reason. LOL I told my fiance that I blame him because he has the most generic full name ever which means his background check would be hard to do. lol

I'm seriously wondering what's going on..I'm March 20th NOA1 and I see a bunch of March 22nd people were approved last month! Ugggghh!! Still waiting..no sign of any NOA2.

2 weeks past the visajourney estimated date of NOA2. :(

Absolutely makes no sense.

Then now the VJ timelines are acting up.  Every day the estimates advance (like today it says they are working on Apr 2nd, Over the wkd it said March 28 on Sat then Sunday it moved to March 30)  No one updated anything either.  Checking further, not one reported NOA2 today for Any Filer, but the timeline still clicked to Apr 2nd lol

Stubborn German called again, using option 5 instead of option 7 ( @Eric&Olya:D:D:D )....

So the wait was about 1 minute, the very, very nice lady on the phone said we're one of the new electronic cases, they've received our petition on Tuesday, but it's not in the system yet.
So our number should be generated soon! Hooray!
No medical still - but at least they have it! :D:D:D

Yay! Congrats on that. Our lawyer just called USCIS and apparently our petition was approved but had not been sent by CSC to the NVC yet and that it can take up to 90 days for that to happen (even though it says 2-4 weeks on the NOA2 and the NVC said 6 weeks, ugh!). Anyway, he said he would send a request to CSC to send it along and usually that works to get things moving so hopefully we'll have a number soon too!

It appears USCIS has put NOA2 approvals are on hold indefinitely since July 07. I searched google and saw news on changes on legal immigration  getting pushed through congress to decrease legal immigration by 50 percent. Reading through this forum some people are mentioning a  conversion to a electronic system and someone else mentioned this occurred in July last year as well. We almost got through and are now held up

They don't make changes based on rumors of congress making changes. It has to become law for them to put any changes into effect. The president himself could issue policy changes that fit within the purview of the laws already on the books, but he hasn't said anything about changing legal immigration, just being tougher on illegal immigration and accepting people from countries that our country has been dropping bombs and depleted uranium on for years.

It's funny because earlier it was taking 2 weeks to get to NVC and the official response was 30 days.

Now that it's taking 3-5 weeks they are saying 90days? LOL Always covering their butts

Immigration reform is really difficult to happen, it doesn't happen one day to the other. And not even the president alone can modify the rules for legal immigration. Also, even the most racist anti-immigration lobbies in US support the immigration of fiancé/wife/spouse and childrens. So it's unlikely there's a hold. Right now only healthcare is going on.

This is what we call fake news.

Funny story about government workers playing cover their butts: I went to mail a surprise to my fiancee and also do the in person identity verification for informed delivery and the lady at the post office had no clue what I was talking about. I walked in and said, "I have two separate items I need to take care of. First, I want to mail this." Hand her the package, paperwork, and pay for it. "Okay, now I need to verify my identity for your informed delivery service." P.O. worker: "What's that?" "It's a service that you guys do that e-mails me a photo of my mail." "We don't do that." "Yes you do." "No we don't." "Then how come it's on your website and I have this e-mail here telling me to come to this address and for you to follow these instructions?" "I don't know what you're talking about." "That's obvious. Do you have a supervisor?" Then the supervisor was able to help me. :jest:
