I saw that article as well, and I totally agree with what you posted up there.

I tried to express that people shouldn't rely too much on the timeline here, because only a tiny bit of these around 4000 petitions are members here AND update their timelines.
(I checked my timeline as well... like freak in a hamster wheel! :)

And that to me it seems - why ever in this world - USCIS probably accidentally loops around most people here, while many, many others are approved at the same time. Call it bad luck, or whatever. But the loop must end and approvals must drop in here again! :)

have you checked out the phone ap? where you can search "near by cases" I have quite a few "near by" that are approved or requested info (and one person denied because they didn't sign their papers.. but a lot of received too.    its just funny because their wac #'s are after mine.. I'm assuming background checks are huge... my fiancé is from Chicago (not to downplay Chicago but there is a lot of corruption/crime there) and not to mention he has a latino last name that a lot of criminals have LOL so I am assuming we will be getting some hits! (I am assuming they background check the petitioner not only beneficiary???? but I could be mistaken?? )

apparently it only takes 15 min to review a case.. so if you work in an 8 hr day you think it would go a bit faster :bonk::cry:

A normal case yes...but there are more complicated cases too that take a lot more time like people that fiance is in jail or they have different sponsor that take some time to look into and get background check.. but I'm sure there is something else that's causing delay..we had it a few months back too when more than 3000 student asked for visa and got handled first above all others.

:D:D:D

bahahhaha totally.. I would totally get a job approving petitions after going through this process ..too bad they don't do it in Chicago! lol... I mean they have to have some sort of deadlines and I'm sure they work hard .. I just worry about missing petitions.. I work in an office and see how some people leave their stacks of paperwork on their desk .. eeek

No, I just used the normal case tracker app on the iPhone, and checked about 100 cases around our WAC number, to see if there were RFE around our date.
So I could see a tiny bit of "movement".

But first thing after blowing nose and wiping tears of relief after seeing the pic of NOA2 I deleted the damn thing! :)

true I agree - my friend went through a k3 visa (she was married prior to moving to the usa) and it took them over one year to get their interview.. I know those usually take a bit longer.. but her case was complicated 4 kids with a diff dad.. but she had a lawyer and no RFE's so everything went smooth.    so I completely agree with you.

ya I think that's what I'm talking about except I have it on android.. same idea. but mine only allows next 20/30 or 50 cases and only lets me check it max 3 times a day.. I already kind gave up on it.. I just like how it counts my days since I applied for me HAHA

Germans are hard workers that's for sure!    I was born in Poland (living in Canada since I was 2) so I know all about the European culture. North America people are more slack...a lot of "entitled" workers out there. sad to say.. (including Canada though not just US)

HAHA!
Oh.... I finally understood I can "scan" like 5 days before we got NOA2 lol
So.... actually I had it for useless refreshing ever since, because my common sense wasn't strong enough to test the features :D:D:D

I wish there was a tracker for the time between USCIS and NVC, where the case is in like a black hole.
I kind of cancelled my apartment today for end of August (limits... sigh), so now I'll start panicking for the casenumber, haha.

Seems this entire process is full of waiting, more waiting, panicking, waiting and panicking. And waiting. :)

Me too, believe me, me too!

So far I think @janet3 @GInAustin @twinee and us are some of the Feb waiting...

:(

They updated the processing time! It's now February 15th....

I just submitted an inquiry  (I called USCIS)....

I didn't get the standard "within normal processing times".

We'll see what happens now (if anything)

I saw your post in a different thread.... holy cowballs... Kudos for your strength (explicitly not saying "patience", cause yours is forced)!
I hope the torture will end with an approval soon! Best of luck!
