I couldn't believe there was a date available so soon lol 😂 a week after my medical too ☺️ are you still waiting for your exam

Yeah, still no NVC number. I hope Scott will receive the email by the end of this week. Our NOA2 is dated with June 23rd, so it should be due!
I hope... told my boss already: Once I have the number, next day I'll be off work, racing to Frankfurt! :)

I totally understand the paranoia also. My fiance had TB several years back when he was in school...he went through many months of treatment and made a full recovery. But I'm worried it will come up as scarring or something on his chest x-ray and prompt further testing. Fingers crossed it will go through smoothly for all of us!!

Argh, yes! I can feel the worries!
I never had anything to do with TB (fortunately), but I'm 37 and smoking. And hypochondriac. I just want it to be over!

Nah, we're waiting for the eMail.
As far as I've heard once they actually HAVE it they send it out. So it doesn't matter if we call or not. Either they have it, or not.
Plus, he hates being on the phone and I don't want to bug him to hang in a waiting line forever. PLUS... his worktimes are not very cooperative with office hours.

I'm sorry you're still awaiting while others are getting approved around you. Not really sure what your State Senator can do at early point in your process only because others have resorted to those measures and have gotten no results.

Trust me when I tell you I feel your pain and I'm a May filer whose fiancé is also in Jamaica (Lucea, PO Hanover); so I have a longer ways to go. The USCIS process is unfortunately crazy for many of the reasons none of us will ever know. And while they say they box up the petitions in date order, we really don't know what adjudicator has that box with our petition in it and if they aren't as fast as others that plays a factor too. They work in a productivity environment which at times has no structure because you have those that are about their numbers and others that are sticklers. And no it doesn't just come down to the background checks, although that is the primary focus that the USCIS handles at this stage. And no, I don't work for them nor have I went through this process before. But based off of what I do for living, I can tell you that at times, if a background check comes back with a hit based off of the name or name variation, that can slow down the process. Not saying that is happening with your case or anything like that. And yes, Jamaica IS A HIGH-RISK FRAUD COUNTRY. Based off of what I do (I work in the Anti-Money Laundering/Terroristic Financing industry), you will be surprised at the things that I see and how much scrutiny I have to have when resolving case dealing with a high-risk geography such as JA, and I'm madly in love and engaged with my Jamaican fiancé!

But just remember, the VJ timelines are not concise, factual numbers. They are estimates based on others updating their timelines. I've watched my dates fluctuate up and down the last 2 weeks; one minute I'm suppose to get an approval in mid August and now early September.

I wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey and pray that you get a NOA2 very soon! :D

I pray my senator can do something. I have heard success stories going this route as well. It just depends on which way the wind blows I suppose lol. I know Jamaica is dealing with alot right now with those cases and it's hard to figure out who is who...My job of course isn't fond of the process. It is the fact he isn't a citizen in itself that poses an issue. Even though I work where I work the odds are stacked against me there and here so it couldn't hurt I pray to try. I read an article by a previous employee that use to work for USCIS he did describe the case handling as depending on who the adjudicator is and the whole box system and they have a quota to fill each day and blah blah blah. Once I hit the 90 day mark and 100 day mark it became a issue to sit here and see the cases passing the date I submitted. Yes you are early in the process and I pray they don't take as long with yours. Even if it were still in the background phase providing these types of updates could alleviate alot of stress and anxiety for these couples and at least show the productivity. I feel we have a right to know the process if we pay the fee and trust them with our hearts.

Well, I'm gonna follow your timeline and pray that you get your NOA2 quickly. This emotional rollercoaster does nothing for the stress and anxiety level!  Hopefully, it's in the mail and on it's way to you now!

Positive thing....Positive thing!!!!! :D

SB: I just saw you're not too far from me and you said your fiancé is from MoBay which isn't too far from my fiancé!!!! Talk about six degrees of separation...I guess!!! :jest:

But what do you say?
You call and ask "Did you already receive our case from USCIS?"
And then they ask for your NVC number, and then you say "Sorry, I don't have one yet?"

Or how is that going?
I need precise hehe

Nothing in today's mail, day 116.

I was bored an pulled every record for our csc/country/consulate (cali, canada, montreal) for January and looked up everyone's NOA2 times.

Tomorrow we'll tie the longest non-RFE NOA2 wait out of every January K1 filing. :(

Something really odd is happening to March filers, especially those with notice dates after 3/11.

I do smoke and am paranoided out by this. I just want it to be done. After the medical I can finally look forward.

Don't stress too much over the CXR, I still remember covering this in school how TB has a unique view and looks different from other lung disease, and a radiologist can spot it fairly quickly.  Some subjective signs of TB are general malaise in last few weeks, or dry cough, or weight loss.  These are qualification questions that may indicate to look further for TB.  Since they are looking for communicable diseases (like TB), and most likely anything you could have as a result of smoking is not going to be communicable - just opacities and calcifications.
