They didn't notify us.. I signed up for myUSCIS account and didn't get anything 😂 I just received an email from the USPS and it's a scanned copy of a letter from them. Noa2. :))

I turned on both the e-mail and text notifications but received none for NOA2. For that, we were glad that we signed up for USPS Informed Delivery because that's how we found out that we got something from USCIS :)

Thank you, girls! I knew you two would have the MyUSCIS account, being on top of everything as you usually are :)

That's exactly what I figured and wanted to know.

Call me weird, but I might really prefer to get just the letter in the mailbox now than a text/email. Yep, weird me :P

I'm quite the opposite. I like to know things in advance. Therefore, I like it better if they were to send us a text or e-mail. And with the text or e-mail, at least we know we are expecting a notice from them and if it doesn't arrive in a week or so, we could proceed to check with them promptly. But of course to each their own :D

But with a letter, it means we are closer to the end and saves a bit of waiting for the next step. Plus I get too see the USPS mail early every day, but my fiance can be a bit absent minded with emails and texts :P

Yep, 6th April received date, so it might take a bit yet, but getting closer :)

I'm hoping for last week March approvals this week.

This is interesting... For some reason, I thought about everyone here had a MyUSCIS account with the enabled text and email notifications... So now I'm wondering how many of you actually did have it from the start and still didn't get notified of Approval, but found NOA2 in the mailbox.

@TearsOfBabylon, @Yzabelle, @GazLisa, @Alysia&Luis, @KULtoATL

Good morning from Germany! :)

I didn't sign up for MyUSCIS, and I don't think Scott did.
Would be a miracle, since he avoided USPS Informed Delivery as well :P

So we oldschoolish waited for the hardcopy. Just like now... no calling, just waiting for the eMail from NVC.

Does NVC send an email or do we wait for the hardcopy in the mail? We are planning to call NVC this week although i don't mind waiting another week or so since our NOA2 date is June 28.

Calling this week would be too early, I guess. I've read about an average of 21 days for them to process it. Our notice date is June 23rd, so we should be "due" by the end of this week.

As far as I know they send an email with the number.

We won't call, because I don't want to have Scott hanging in a waiting line for 45 frustrating minutes to end with no result.
If you learn on the phone that you've got a number, then the email would be out that day as well. So - for my feeling - no need to call.

I think they do both, but not sure it's a guarantee and they can be slow. I've read of people getting contacted by the Embassy before getting news from NVC.

I might be there last week of October or 1st week of November. :)) he told me it's really cold during winter.. I remember we went to Baguio City when he was here last May and it felt so cold for me at night.. He said I should get used to cold weather because it's waaay colder in Chicago.. I will tell him to bring me to Morton Arboretum!! :)) so exciting!!

Oh.  It is quite cold there in the winter.  I was there early this year and everyday I'm all wrapped up.  Haha!  Summer there is the best.  It's not as hot as here in the PH, the air is a bit cold, so it's not irritatingly hot.  Spring is a bit cold, maybe Baguio cold but you'll be amazed when the trees and the flowers transition from nothing to green or red or orange leaves.  And the tulips! Oh, the tulips!  They are so beautiful.

Morton Arboretum is wonderful.  You can have a small wedding there.  It's very nice and serene and fresh with the nature surrounding you. :)

About obtaining your case number from NVC... Try to call on the 7th day. You might be in luck because we got ours on the 7th day and I started to track the case file thereafter. The best time to call NVC with little to zero traffic is first thing they open in the morning and 10 pm or 11 pm onwards EST time.

Like a crazy woman, I stalked the tracker on a daily basis and found out the exact day the case file was marked as 'In Transit' and 'Ready'. Once it shown as 'Ready', I took the initiative to e-mail my embassy's consular section to inquire about the Packet 3, which they promptly sent to me and I completed swiftly to send them the payment and appointment confirmation pages :jest:

I wish everyone all the best :)

@Estibaliz I can't wait to hear about your NOA2 :goofy:
