We both are. I'm the petitioner. It's nice to have it plan like a month before, but it appears that with our case, its required to have plans already in motion before the interview. I guess that's the whole purpose of k1 visa. So, yeah, anything can happen here and there but October will still be a special day for both of us. It's nice to celebrate thanksgiving here in Chicago. If you're lucky, you'll get the chance to feel the snow. We sometimes get snow right after thanksgiving. If you get a chance, visit Morton Arboretum, trees are at their best color show.

I might be there last week of October or 1st week of November. :)) he told me it's really cold during winter.. I remember we went to Baguio City when he was here last May and it felt so cold for me at night.. He said I should get used to cold weather because it's waaay colder in Chicago.. I will tell him to bring me to Morton Arboretum!! :)) so exciting!!

I got an email, but I had created an account on myUSCIS and enabled email and text notifications.

I just created an account and enabled notifications last week. Hopefully it works. I never got an e-mail for my NOA1, but I did get a text.

I got the email on July 5th and then a text on July 8th... by that time my fiance had received the hard copy NOA2 lol. bit delayed there.

Hello fellow Marchers, we have a question regarding our NOA2:

if anyone has seen this before please help! Also what do the "Valid from" dates even mean?

That's the window for your interview. The one with the dates coinciding with your approval date would be the correct one. Maybe someone realized they messed up and hurried and sent out a corrected letter.

Ok thank you!!

Also, would our NOA2 date be July 3 then even though online it says "On July 5 we approved your petition". On the hard copy it has 07/03 under the Notice Date.

Thanks for sharing this information. I received a text, but no email for NOA1. I just created an account on myUSCIS and enabled email and text notifications. I find this option more appealing than signing up through the US Postal Service to get pictures of my mail.

This is interesting... For some reason, I thought about everyone here had a MyUSCIS account with the enabled text and email notifications... So now I'm wondering how many of you actually did have it from the start and still didn't get notified of Approval, but found NOA2 in the mailbox.

I turned on both the e-mail and text notifications but received none for NOA2. For that, we were glad that we signed up for USPS Informed Delivery because that's how we found out that we got something from USCIS :)

ETA: Oddly enough those who were receiving a RFE actually got e-mail and text notifications from USCIS. I'm not sure why the selective notification

I know I probably should calm down, but since I have received the RFE email I would like to have everything ready haha. I saw way back in the March Filers thread that someone had a template for the cover letter responding to RFE.... but I can't find it now.

Does anyone have a template for a cover letter responding to an RFE? It would be much appreciated!

Here you go, I hope it helps.
