I'm having hard time to decide what will be our final decision with our wedding day. Then, my fiancee suggested something and that opened up a whole new perspective with the wedding plan. All we want is to make it special for both of us and have some close friends to share our day with. Time to earn some serious cash, I want to see us both smillinh and carefree on our wedding day, and, a nice surprise for her before our wedding night! Still waiting for NVC case number, and its okay!! We can use the time to make the biggest step in our life--extra special.

 

(I hope this can inspire you all March Whiners!) There are wedding bells waiting for all of us! Peace Out!

We haven't talked about the wedding details plans yet.. but we talked about where are we going to get married.. He wanted to have a small church wedding in his hometown in California.. We're going to fly there from Chicago in November before thanksgiving day to have our wedding.. but we haven't talked about the details yet. Maybe he's also stressed out about all the process and saving money and also his work.. I tried opening up to him by asking him if do i have to buy the wedding dress over here or rent one when we get to the US.. he answered like he wasn't sure and not interested yet. 😂 Anyway I suggested to buy the simple wedding dress, it only cost less 20USD over here up to 100USD. :)) for simple wedding dress only costs lower than 100USD. :)) But he still don't want to talk about it yet. So maybe after I get the NVC number. :(( 

 

how i wish they will update it soon anytime next week. :(( It's just I couldn't get it because my birth date didn't match to their system. So stressful. ☹️☹️

Poor you, not many people would cope at your age. You are supposed to have fun and do crazy things, not jump through bureaucratic hoops 

One of the most obvious tips would be getting busy but I must say it doesn't help me at all. Imagining our future life together does help a bit, I think I already wrote about my typical mantra "This time next year..."

Usually I am very optimistic but in this case I'd say it's not the best approach. All those services and centers that our cases have to go through don't have a goal to make our life easier. So we'd rather be prepared to have delays and complications, and if we don't - well, what a wonderful surprise!

Sometimes it's hard to believe, but time really flies. Now it might seem that because of all the uncertainties it takes forever to get to the interview, but I'm sure that "this time next year" (yay! my favourite) you will look back and say that it wasn't too bad after all.

Thank you so much.. at early age, I've been through a lot. :)) but I really still can't handle so much stress like this.. All I'm praying is that hopefully things will get better very soon.. I can't wait for all of this to get done. :((

 

Thank you for sharing your favorite. It made me feel better. You're right. This time next year it will be different and when we look back, it wasn't too bad after all. :)) this time next year we are already together and happily married. :))

I bought my wedding dress from my country 2 months before the graduating high school  proms. My dress is a prom one but white. It is not heavy,very comfortable and its long, body line and no back. It was about  400 dollars and I love it. I want beach wedding in Florida tidetheknotbeachweddings.com/wedding_packages/love-me-knot thats what i want. It is expensive though, we have to fly to Florida and have some place to stay over... it will be like 4 guests but money part is still kind a ussue. However e dont think about it now. All i want is to go  there and then the wedding stress may begin  (if it looks like advertising will delete it )

Thanks that helps a bit bc I was starting to get depressed thinking about all this & that we have to wait another months until we can move forward to other things...im a March 17th so hopefully in a few weeks

The only way to fight it is to stop thinking about it.  You are the only one who can control your own thoughts.  If you want to be depressed, then you will be.  If you want to be happy, then you will be.  Change your mindset.  I know it's hard when we're expecting something.  But there's no other way. Only you can find a way.  Cheer up! I'm sure this delay has a purpose, a purpose for the better.  You won't see it now, but you will later.  And when you do, you will say "All that depression was just a waste of energy.  Now how do I get rid of this wrinkle?".

 

Change you mindset.  Be happy.  Stay pretty.

For all those who have not received their NOA2 yet, please extend your patience some more.  When I was waiting for it, I almost lost my mind and probably my fiance.  But when I decided to stop stressing and expecting, the approval just suddenly came the next day.  Try meditating and, in your mind, seeing your NOA2 on your hands.  Feel that feeling you will feel when you have received it.  

 

I know it sounds crazy, but it works.  Visualizing that he can shoot can ball worked with Michael Jordan when he was playing basketball.  It will help you too, getting through this stage.  And remember, no expectations.  Your approvals will definitely come.  Just feel that you have it already.

At one time I was being treated for depression (permanent loss of work from a injury), the above response is a very good piece of advice. It wont happen overnight, but changing your mindset is the 1st step in recovery. I wish you luck.

You are welcome.  We are here to uplift and support each other, emotionally.  And you know you already have your case number.  (Visualize that you have it.)  And that you are going to do that trip to Manila on the 12th for your medical.

I'm going to call again on Tuesday morning over here. :)) I wish they already updated it.. I wish my fiancé will think of it first, and will call them tomorrow night(Monday morning in the US) 😂 I haven't been discussing anything about this to him..  

I don't I will still make it on the 12th.. I've already moved the date of my reservation in the hotel, charged us 2USD. :)) Maybe if I will be able to get it Monday-Wednesday, I will book another hotel on the 17th and do my medical on the 18th :))  well that's a plan for me now.. Hopefully they get to fix the problem very soon. Can't wait.. 😊

We'll probably see each other there.  Haven't set my medical yet though, because I don't want to make 2 trips to MNL (have to fly, coming from the land of the aswang... haha!).  Plus, I don't want to leave my dog just yet.  He won't like staying outside my place, but within the compound, at night when I'm not home.  Nobody wants him to stay inside their houses... haha...

We should Meet! Hehehe. You're from Capiz! That's fine. You should prepare for medical first. :)) I wish i could play with my dogs. I have 2 tzi tzus but I won't play with them or hug them anymore since I have allergic rhinitis and it's bad for me since I have history. :)) sometimes I would just walk them outside but that's what i just do with them.  you still have time. I am planning to move in november.. I think I will still be able to make it to him around that time.
