Indeed! Of course there's some down days, but I can be patient. After all, I've done it for long, since Gary's divorce took almost two years and we've been waiting to start the K1 for a whole year before that was final.

Then, that's the very same reason why I get impatient. Too much waiting in our story :P

Oh wow yeah lots of waiting. I met my fiance Chris 2 years before he got divorced and at the time his ex wife was cheating on him with a guy from online. I was with someone else at the time but Chris and I became good friends and he would vent to me about being the third wheel. Finally his wife put in for a divorce because her Mom was dying and she did not want Chris to get anything from that. He got divorced finally 2 years ago but we didn't start dating until last October when Chris showed back up online after a 3 month hiatus to find himself and do a lot of disastrous dating as he called it. His last date before we got together the gal told hi if there was to be a second date he had to learn how to kiss. So I bug him about being a bad kisser all the time in reality he is a great kisser. LOL People ask me how Chris and I decided we were a couple and I always say hmmm you know it just happened and before we realized it we were dating and wanting to meet in person which we did 2 months after we started a relationship. LOL

Hah, that's the best way to put it... It just happens. We are near our third anniversary, and when you are in a long distance relationship that sure should count as much more :P

He was long time separated when we met, but not divorced. That was a struggle indeed since his ex is not the easiest person... But oh well.

Let's get cheesy. Love conquers all.

Oh it most certainly does. Once we are with our loved ones we can look back at our trials of waiting and just smile because its over. When people hear I am in an LDR they are like oh how does that work. Its like um like any relationship sheesh just we probably communicate more. LOL

Hey guys, so I have some advice for all those who have not yet gotten their noa2. I am a March 9th applicant and when I calledΒ the office I was told the same generic information that they were going through January 15th cases and that I wouldn't receive my noa2Β until at least next month if not later. However what I did was get in touch with my state senator and asked him if he could check in on my case to see at what point they're at. Your state senator has access to the actual officers that are dealing with your case and not with the idiots that have no idea when your case will be processed. So the day after I asked my Senator's office to look into my case, I got an email from him saying my noa2 should be in the mail in 5 to 10 days. Which means they have already processed my case but when I call the office, my case won't be touched for another month or more. So don't get down because of what these officers are saying because they have absolutely no idea what's going on. I would recommend either calling or shooting an email to your state senator if you're really worried and asking if they can look into your case and see whatΒ point you're actually at. I've been ccontactingΒ the senator's since the beginning of my caseΒ soΒ that's why I thought to shoot him an email. Most likely you'll have to sign a release form that gives him access to your case information but that's quick and will take an extra day or so. Good luck to everyone on their noa2 for those who have not yet received one. I'll let you guys know when I receive mine. I still don't know if it's good news or bad news so let's keep our fingers crossed.

For what I've read in previous months threads, contacting the senator or congressman can be a bit of a lottery, as some of them get the same generic answer about normal processing times and blah blah blah... But always a good shot generally speaking.

Glad it worked good and quickly for you. Pretty sure you are waiting for the NOA2 stating you've been approved, since I think they would have told you it was a RFE otherwise, but ok, we'll cross fingers for you for now :)

This tends to be the case and has a lot to do with scalablity of representative democracy. Depending on your state, your senator is supposed to represent a few to tens of millions of people. It's nice to think that they might take the time to deal with your individual request, and their inquiry does have weight, but the chances are slim. Your inquiry might be handled by some staffer whose job is just to empty the inbox and send out copy pasta canned responses. Some are better at constituent outreach than others. In my experience, I've had much better luck with well thought out e-mails that explain my situation, frustrations and ideas about how the situation could be improved for not just myself, but the whole country. (Have to play to their ego of being potential saviors of mankind a little bit. ;)).
