As far as I know, the copy is just for you to be familiar with what was sent.

They will have the original case, so you shouldn't have any problems.

Thank you makes me  less worried. :)

Thank you.   will ask him to try get  the statement printed.

Im still waiting for my  email/letter from my embassy so i can finally start with it.  Get  interview date,  But  it is in transit to it  so wont be  much longer..  i   Hope :)

he has send me the  complete  package  yesterday so should be  here in about  2 weeks.

I cant wait.  It is  starting to feel more real now but im afraid ill mess it  up by forgetting  something...

Oh, don't worry about messing up something.  What is there to mess up?  You have a great support group that's always here behind you, and clearly a bona fide relationship to tell the consul about.

I always believe that a touch of nerves, or worry is good - because it helps us be calculating of our steps.  I'm sure you will be proclaiming "I'm APPROVED!!!" here on this thread in the near future :)

I'm getting so antsy. I've been keeping my distance from the site because it's difficult not to feel left out. I'm SO happy for everyone who have received their NOA2's, but I can't help but feel discouraged because I really want to get ours soon. I know I haven't been waiting as long as others...my received date is March 28th so I'm well within the processing time and not worried yet. But I'm going to visit my fiance Sep. 1st and we're really hoping to schedule the interview for when I'm there. India is a tough embassy so me being there will help tremendously. If we don't get our NOA2 in the next week or two then it's going to rule out the option of me making the interview. Blah. :(

I called USCIS a few minutes ago and the lady gave me the same generic response that they are working Jan 15th cases so I should expect at least two more months til they get to mine. I told her I know people in March who got approved and she said it's highly unlikely. I just politely said okay thanks, it's certainly not worth arguing when their service department is clearly out of the loop with how things are really processing.

They always give that date but  the  right  answer is they working  on March.  If i should believe the  updates i would say  they at  March  22/23 right now.  so not that far  from yours..

I know I probably should calm down, but since I have received the RFE email I would like to have everything ready haha. I saw way back in the March Filers thread that someone had a template for the cover letter responding to RFE.... but I can't find it now.

Does anyone have a template for a cover letter responding to an RFE? It would be much appreciated!

We've got the same timeline, so I'm here bringing up the end of the month with you! I wish there were a little bit more transparency into the whole process and data that actually means something. We know there is more to the process than the simple review of our documents and then a yes or no. It would be great to have a functioning tracker with more information about the other procedures, but we're talking about the government here and not a company that needs to please its customers to stay in business. 😃

Wait till you have the hard copy. When we got our RFE, we didn't need any cover letter. My fiance had forgotten to tick off a box, so there was that question again for him to answer and sign his name. He didn't have to send anything else, just the same paper he received from them.

Do you have a link to that. It does not sound familiar.

Maybe it's in the link below and my blurry eyes just can't find it.

To the original poster. You could just ask NVC when you talk to them and ask when they received it right? Not sure what it matter though as I don't think that date is needed the important thing is to get the new case number.
