Yeah! Tour the US first until your EAD comes out! :)

That sounds wonderful but I am afraid I won't be able to, I have two kids, so I'll have to help them adjust to the new country, new school, (almost) new language, etc :)

Wow! It's wonderful that your kids are coming too! :) Hopefully, they will be able to adapt to the new culture immediately and smoothly.  Best of luck to all of us.

@NovaDC, you are completely on point on that one! Going through this gives you so much insight of how immigration works as it comes from personal experience. I hope we all accomplish our selves to our fullest potential. Starting a new life is not easy but hey, we'll have the support of our loved ones. :)

That's true. Our journey with them just starts now. Where will you be living in the US?

We will be living in Essex, New York. It's a small village on Lake Champlain, half an hour from Burlington Vermont.

I hate cold weather! I come from the southern part of my country where temperatures go as high as 50 celsius. So i'm used to hot weather, and we rarely have snow. It will be an adjustment for sure, when i visited this January, temperatures went as low as -25 celsius in Essex! I guess I'll just have to learn to ski and enjoy the snow :))

I googled Radford and i can tell you, that's a big town compared to Essex! :D

Oh my gosh, same here.. I live all my life in Cebu, Philippines which is very tropical al throughout the year. Im used to sandy beaches, not snow. Lol

yeah i guess we should just learn to adapt, ive heard Vermont which you said is near to Essex has really good skiing areas.

Are you starting to shop for thicker clothes? All my clothes in my closet are for summer, hahaha

Winter clothes bought in Macedonia are not warm enough for Essex standards, i learned that the hard way! I had to buy warmer winter jackets, boots etc when i was there, hahahaha.

Essex is fairly close to Lake Placid (where the winter Olympics were held twice) so it has a lot of ski areas and resorts. Same with Vermont, and i actually learned to ski cross country so I'm kinda excited to start loving winter!

You will miss the sandy beaches for sure, but you can spend summer holidays in your country. :)

Thank you!!! For sure we will get out fourfie LOL!

Has Scott started calling NVC

No, and I probably won't make him :P
He's an introverted hermit and hates calling people :P

So for now, he's excused. If there's no mail until the end of next week/beginning the week after I'll make him call.
Because then the 21 days are gone by! So I hope for a mail hehe

Have you been visiting Virginia yet?
If you're used to tropical temperatures, then you'll have something ahead of me: I'll die in the Virginian humidity. I'm very glad we filed in March, so I can skip one last summer, hehe.

I just looked up Radford. That's about 4 hours from where I will be :)

my fiance is like that! he doesn't want to call! haha!  I was being a brat, I wanted him to call everyday.  Good thing he was so ever patient to me.

Your case will be there.  You can try on the 20th day, and maybe in the afternoon to be sure that they have received all the cases for that day and are just giving a case number to it.  They're open until 12MN EST anyway. :)

So only one approval yesterday, if I'm not mistaken, and it was via email/case tracker...

What's happening with your mail? Come on, March Whiners! You can do so much better than that ;)

I remember other Thursdays being good on mail and good news, so I'm hoping to read a lot of happy posts from you today, OK? :)

Yeah, well... I guess now it's when I'm starting to get just a tad bit impatient for them to start working on April. But you can't blame me. Have you seen those two cute sad faces? :(:P
