APPROVED!!!!! Just got the email notification from USCIS, dated July 5th. Our NOA1 date was March 28.
So shocked!! Just this morning I had posted asking if anyone with our NOA1 date has been approved yet!! Was also so worried about an RFE because we didn't send formal letters of intent. But today I got an email that we are approved and they will mail our notice. Our VJ estimate was July 5-11 so right on.

Congrats! :jest:

Yep, I noticed today is one of those rare days when the case tracker works

Is March 28 your notice date, and what's your received date then? Hah, trying to figure out where exactly they are working at right now :P

I wonder why they aren't responding to cases in the order they were received. This process is unfair. Makes me angry. How does someone after my submission date get approved??????? I want to file a complaint. Congrats to those individuals that were approved, but there is a process to this that they clearly aren't following fairly. Sigh

Congrats! and yayyyyy finally someone with my same NOA1 date has been approved!!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Oh dang I totally thought the same and now realizing it wasn't my same NOA1 date. I've been going off the received date since that's what the scans/tracker goes off. But if their received date was March 22 then that's still behind mine. Oh well! Can't be more than a week or two now til' they start working late March/early April received date cases.

Background checks take a varying amount of time. Adjudication of your petition really only takes about 15 minutes for the average case.

Haha, us and our wishful thinking :)

We have people on the April fillers thread with that same received date, so I'm keeping a close eye on them as well as you. Want a stalker? ;)

I know, it's SO frustrating and feels completely unfair. Especially considering we pay a significant price for these applications to be processed. You can certainly try filing a formal complaint through your congressman, but I know people have done so in the past and I think they just get a generic response. Doesn't hurt to do the same though.

It would be so much easier to deal with the waiting if we knew things were done in order, but with thousands of applications and a clearly inefficient processing method - it's just not realistic. :(
