As long as she stated there that she plans on marrying you within 90 days of her arrival in the US using k1 visa.. you're fine. :)) We didn't include the wedding preparation plans in there. You'll be fine. Goodluck!

In applying you need to have a signed statement from both the petitioner and applicant saying you will marry upon arrive. I believe the statement should be fine

We are credit card dependent in Canada as well it seems. After getting in credit card debt when I was 20 I vowed to never ever ever get one again but I needed one once my fiance and I got together as its easier to pay for flights etc. So ironic. I didn't think anyone would give me a credit card since my credit rating was tanked but apparently after paying my debts off I managed to climb back into the fair range. My credit card can be transferred to the us since they have a us company too. I have a low credit amount which is all I want. I pay it off every month. I never want to get into debt again. Having constant calls from debt collectors cures you of that or at least it did me. My fiance and I will use the credit card in emergencies but it will mostly just sit there. I will use it once a month and pay it off immediately though so that I can build my credit rating. When I travel to visit my fiance I just get a bunch of american money from my bank and use that. They do look at you funny when you always pay in cash. LOL On a side note we have three businesses in my little town in Manitoba that only take cash.

Congratulations!! That is so wonderful. :)

Just curious which bank do you bank with because when i asked my bank (td canada trust) if they transfer they said no? Its two diff systems 🙈 curious on who you bank with maybe i can get a card with that bank if it helps me in the future ( i hsve great credit in canada) but nothing in usa as it goes by ssn not sin..usually those two dont transfer to each other and you start with nothing?

Its not a bank. I have a capital one credit card. They said it should be no problem to set me up in the US as well. Course we will see. I already have a bank account in the US with US Bank though and I also am on a joint account with my fiance at that bank as well. I toss a bit of money in it from time to time. lol

We are 109 days from notice date and 112 days from received. But I am not worried anymore because it is in God's hands and it will happen when it needs to happen. That thought lifted a weight from both me and my fiance's shoulders. We feel less stressed now and happier. As for the background checks both him and I have very common first and last names and moved a lot. LOL So they must be having fun with us. I know when I go to get my police criminal check next week I will probably get told it will be a longer check because of my name. However my middle name is very very unique and wouldn't normally go with my common first and last names so that should help a bit.

I think I will stick around again now that my head is in a better place and a smile is back on my face. HUGS everyone still waiting and those that already are on their way to the next stage. Life is wonderful and life is what we make of it.

It's good to see you being optimistic again:)

I hope the golden ticket is on its way:)

You should only send Intent to marry letter from the beneficiary. Thy are only asking for the letter and not evidence of a relationship. The letter should be signed from the beneficiary as they want an original signature. When answering the RFE, prepare a cover letter, attach the letter of intent to marry and put the blue sheet with the bar code on top of everything. Good luck
