Called again the NVC and still no case number 😂 I will just call on Friday :D

They pretty much are taking a full 20 days to "receive" cases.  Funny, because it takes 20 days from Calif to Virginia - then 5 days to Manila

Go figure lol

We are credit card dependent in Canada as well it seems. After getting in credit card debt when I was 20 I vowed to never ever ever get one again but I needed one once my fiance and I got together as its easier to pay for flights etc. So ironic. I didn't think anyone would give me a credit card since my credit rating was tanked but apparently after paying my debts off I managed to climb back into the fair range. My credit card can be transferred to the us since they have a us company too. I have a low credit amount which is all I want. I pay it off every month. I never want to get into debt again. Having constant calls from debt collectors cures you of that or at least it did me. My fiance and I will use the credit card in emergencies but it will mostly just sit there. I will use it once a month and pay it off immediately though so that I can build my credit rating. When I travel to visit my fiance I just get a bunch of american money from my bank and use that. They do look at you funny when you always pay in cash. LOL On a side note we have three businesses in my little town in Manitoba that only take cash.

Congratulations!! That is so wonderful. :)

Hah, yep, that's what I do, get my dollars and pay in cash. I did get my credit card when I started travelling there because for our first vacation in Vegas they told me some hotels might not accept debit cards... Funny thing is after coming back that year I had to cancel both cards and get new ones because there was an alert on someone trying to clone them there or some kind of fraud. So yep... I don't like cards :P

But hey, I'm a modern girl! I'll get use to it :)

PS. Glad to see you back and content, if not completely happy 😘

We are 109 days from notice date and 112 days from received. But I am not worried anymore because it is in God's hands and it will happen when it needs to happen. That thought lifted a weight from both me and my fiance's shoulders. We feel less stressed now and happier. As for the background checks both him and I have very common first and last names and moved a lot. LOL So they must be having fun with us. I know when I go to get my police criminal check next week I will probably get told it will be a longer check because of my name. However my middle name is very very unique and wouldn't normally go with my common first and last names so that should help a bit.

I think I will stick around again now that my head is in a better place and a smile is back on my face. HUGS everyone still waiting and those that already are on their way to the next stage. Life is wonderful and life is what we make of it.

i understand everybody here about be worried, stressful etc, when i did my first k1 at 2013 i was dying everyday, it was terrible the waiting time.

now i am very relax, i am just waiting, with my first k1 i learned that stress doesnt help you to get noa2 quicker, noa2 will arrive when be the time, it is just wait.

glad to know you feel better

Thanks. :) Its good to be back. Being a Negative Nancy was not good for my health. In a much better headspace now. I am so thankful for technology because skype video chats do make things so much more barable. Lately we have been watching Netflix together and its so nice to just chill out and watch something and talk about it. Feels so real. My vacation there was so so so nice and I know we are going to be great once a move in. The thing I miss the most is sleeping. Its so hard to sleep alone now which is hilarious because I always have slept alone. Always been just me and my kitty but now I miss the warmth of my fiance beside me. He said that is a tough thing for him too that our bed seems empty without me there. A few days ago he said to me I finally cleaned the walk in closet out so now there is room for you. He is as bad as a girl, he had probably 20 shirts that no longer fit him and pants too. We went shopping for new clothes for him while I was there. He has lost quite a bit of weight and was so excited when he tried the next size of shirt down and I said to him nope you need a smaller size from that. Apparently his co-workers were jealous of his lunch after I left. I had made extra quinoa with teriyaki chicken and veg over it in containers for him to take to work the next week. One of the guys said oh that smells so good you are so lucky and Chris said to him but your wife makes your lunch and he said nothing like that though. LMAO Chris had never had quinoa til I had him try it and now he likes it better than brown rice.

Maybe you guys can give me some insight. I filed in March for my fiance in Costa Rica and received the NOA1 on March 9th. However I have not received the NOA2 yet and when I called to ask about it, I was told that they are on January 15th applications, and once March applications are processed I will get a letter of acceptance that I will be transfered. And it can take up to 30-90 days or even 3 months for my fiance to get the visa. And we actually have our wedding planned for October 7th here. I am so confused and sad right now. Anything will help. Thank you!

You should have your NOA 2 this month and at the latest August "if" all goes well.

Just don't pay any non-refundable wedding expenses or plane tickets to fly to USA until Visa in hand.
