Beyond frustrated. I am not on day 108 and have not heard anything. I have called and received a generic answer that the California Office is still processing January cases, but on here, ppl that have submitted cases after mine have already received NOA2. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Just keep waiting.  Nothing more you can do I'm afraid.  The time will come!

Sorry to hear you haven't gotten your NOA2 yet but based off your timeline, You are just outside of your estimated timeframe, but I understand that it doesn't make up for wanting to go further in the process.

I know this is hard to say but you can't really determined when or how these USCIS workers are adjudicating these cases because there's no telling where your petition falls between the other petitions, which box its in and if that adjudicator has even got to that box yet. So while other petitions before or after yours have been approved, it doesn't necessarily mean your petition was in the same box as theirs. Plus with the holiday, I'm sure they had staff members take off before and probably after the 4th; from the way my office here at work looks right now, I'm sure they are not normal capacity with staff (I really should have just called out today but I call myself being a "team player" <_<).

I wouldn't stress yourself out just yet and I wouldn't even bother calling them because that's gonna make things worse in regards to your stress level (I know, easier said than done), but the fact is, they're not gonna give you any information other than the same generic script.

I'm sure I'll be right where you are come next month but you just have to know that it's coming. Good luck on your journey!!! :)

Suggestions on actions to take?  no, seems that anything anyone has tried in the last 6 months to move their case along has not worked.  We see people getting approved after our date, and it really makes me anxious, worried maybe my case got lost.  Over and over we are told to 'be patient', and to 'hang in there', but these rarely help remove the anxiety (to be honest).  What seems to help one filer cope with these excessive waiting periods may not help another.  My favorite coping method I have seen on here is a filer (who is way overdue her noa2) making a thousand paper cranes for her wedding (last report was 700 so far).  Others cope by trolling this sites statistics pages.  My coping method is finding others in like circumstances and knowing I am not alone.

We are very similar in our timelines, and just knowing you are waiting like we are shows me that we're not all alone.  Today is day 109 since our petition was 'received' and day 104 since our notice 1 date.  Easily I can find others that have had waiting periods much longer.  I'm not sure what the longest waiting filer does to cope......  I certainly hope none of us has to find out

I agree with everything you said. It's definitely not easy to cope and what works for one person may not work for the other.

I do want to say though, that we shouldn't really be going based off of the VJ estimated timeframe as if it's true to form. At the end of the day, it's an estimated timeframe which is simply based on other VJ members correctly updating their timelines when they receive their NOA2's. If they don't update it, the dates get thrown off making this once again not accurate. Secondly, I think we sometimes forget that not every petitioner is on VJ, so there are plenty of other petitioners out there going through the same process, the same long wait that we all are going or gonna go through. Not saying that this would make it easier to cope and deal with this process, just saying there are many factors behind this that we don't see or know. I'm in no way taking up for USCIS because I think the this whole process is just a waste of my taxpaying dollars allowing them to take as much time as they want to adjudicate these petitions; but objectively, the estimated timeframe given on VJ is exactly what it is...estimated.

And no, I don't have the answer on how to cope because trust me when I tell you that I have my moments on being impatient and anxious with this process. Just the other day my fiancé had to reassure me that this will not stop us from being together and that it's just a test. Another day passed is another day closer to your happily ever after is how I look at it.

144 days here.  I'm following some that are 160+   Hoping to hear something in next couple of weeks as a birthday gift to us both because we are only two weeks apart in birthdays.  I am curious if those processed after our filings used an attorney or filed on their own.  Would like to know what reasoning they use to process some within 90 days and others 150+ days.

Just work thru the steps to see if it is available in your area, if it is, then you may sign up for it.

Hoping you both get an early birthday gift from our friends at uscis : )

As far as attorneys, from what I have read, their cases drop in line with everyone else's cases, and on these threads have said their attorneys just tell them to wait.

'reasoning they use to process some within 90 days and others 150+ days'....... wow, this could be a thesis - but I won't.  I wish that more biographical data was available to start graphing the 'quick and the dead' cases.  Some things do become apparent though, like the age of petitioners have (I presume) more and less backgrounds to check, previous addresses, and divorces - just to name one of a hundred possible factors.

I'll follow your timeline so I can jump in with a congrats when your notice appears.
