hello all, please kindly advice me, my fiance has already filed a k1 visa for me but earlier before that i had made a trip to the US in which I was refused entry and I had to voluntarily withdraw my visa and i made a sworn statement that I was married although I am not legally married please how will this impact on my K1 visa which has already filed for me. Thanks for ur kind response

Why would you make a sworn statement that is false in the first place? If there's any record of that sworn statement, it is possible that it could come up on a background check and then they could ask to see a proof of divorce. Since you weren't really married (if I understand correctly), that could cause a problem since you would be unable to provide such evidence. You may scrutinized more carefully since you have already been denied entry once. Honesty is always the best policy.

Thank you so much for the info! Are we expecting the 3 letter indicator and 10 digit case number after we got NOA2? So I should get MNL1234567890 for example? It's been 17 days now since we got approved! 😭

When I get my NOA2, I'll wait 14 days (right now the average transit is 20 days from NOA2 to NVC) then send NVC an email requesting my MNL#.  Then beginning day 15, I plan to call them each day and ask for my MNL#.  When they give it to me, I can schedule the interview and SLEC.  When I receive a reply to my email, then I'll know the case has been sent to the consul.

This is all based on what I read on the link I posted.

Yes, I've been reading different files/forums online too. I don't know which one to follow. I've read that we need to schedule an interview prior to medical.

Since it has been 17 days since NOA2, your NVC receive should be the first of this week.  I suppose there are numerous different files/forums & online sites with their advice and strategies.... :)  Pick the one that you think will work for you.  I'm sure you are anxious to get the process completed, and if you can shave a few days or a week off the process by being proactive for the MNL#, well that's a few days or a week earlier to have the visa in hand.

I hope you will stick around the March FIlers and tell us what worked for you, I'd love the advice

When we were able to run data scans, we could see that 98% of USCIS K1 petitions get approved. So if you're still waiting for NOA2, it's not if, it's when for most. When, can't be predicted, but I hope everyone has a speedy NOA2 from Monday forward. Hang in there.

Thank u so much. I needed to hear that. My received date is March 15 and noticed date March 22. Still waiting for my NOA2. I believe it will come this coming week.

Ditto, please let us know!  I am a 6/12 NOA2 date.  I think right now it says average of 20 days - 25 days to get case number...

I am very anxious and excited at the same time. Lol I have gathered all the requirements except for my fiancé's affidavit of support, bank statements and ITR. Our lawyer just emailed my fiancé last week and told him to just sit back and relax. I hope we hear the good news this week! 🙏🏻

This forum has been part of my life since we applied for K1 Visa. I will definitely inform you with every step we make. 🤗

This is the letter I sent to her in messenger for her to copy.

She will hand write this and send back to me asap.

I told her make sure she dates it and to send me picture first of her version to veify before she mails it to me

Should be good to go right?

Thanks in advance to all who been responding with your input

Its very much appreciated

This is exactly what my fiance and i wrote! i dont think the hand written would be any problem.. its just a little less professional. Hand written seems more legitimate anyways! Oh and i see that you used black in which is great ! it would be a shame to use blue and get another request!  Good Luck!

Finally sent all the forms yesterday so glad that it's done hope to get NOA1 next week then the long wait for NOA2 really hoping I'll be in America by November/December hope it's possible hahah

Congratz! I know for me putting the packet together was a bit stressful. And good luck on getting here by the end of the year!!! =) If you get yours that soon, then that would mean mine would be even sooner since my NOA1 is 04/07. I am hoping he will be here in Oct, but as slow as they are moving... who knows <_< Just seems like the wait times keep growing every week. As long as he is here by our intended wedding date (2nd week of December) I will be happy!
I would have to say that this waiting period is kinda like when a couple becomes pregnant and is going to have a baby lol you have 9 months to prepare for your precious bundle of joy and get everything all together and just right and enjoy the time for just the two of you until you become three....
Some advice, since unfortunately there is no magical potion that will knock you out for the next 6 months as we have already discussed, try not to stress and think about it too much... it makes the time go by even slower lol Keep busy and enjoy your time that you have left with friends and family because once you do leave, you won't have that kind of time with them anymore and also, now you have this time to get your things in order so that when your day does come, you will be ready and not struggling to get a million things done all crammed in to a few weeks. Now THAT would be stressful!  lol AND if you do feel yourself getting anxious, just stop and remember that once you are here, you are going to have forever with your SO! I know that kind of helps me stay calm
Also, you have this amazing group here who is so helpful and there to listen and who understands what you are going through... we are all fortunate to have discovered VJ and each other! :jest:
