The hardest part of this whole process is Not Knowing.  By some simple calculations, about 41.5% of petitions March 1 thru 20 are still not approved.  We are in that 41% :)

Hang in there!!!!!  We are at least in the 'wheel house' now

Thanks. I am relieved now. All we have to do is pray and hope for the best and i strongly believe that soon we shall receive NOA2 .

I'm a firm believer in prayer, and in perfect timing we'll be approved

What simple calculations? I stopped running stats because I could not get reliable data from anywhere.

The two places that I know of where we can get data are both unreliable:

1) Scrape data from the online case checker: This is unreliable because USCIS stopped reporting approvals consistently on May 2nd, 2017. They have also not reported all RFEs either. Received cases are really just unknown at this point.

2) VJ user submitted data: This is unreliable because people can enter incorrect data and we are only seeing people who are on this site.

Im so happy - received the RFE letter in the mail today.

what was missing is Beneficiarys Intent to marry

So wanted to ask this awesome group of filers on how to handle this.

She is in the phils, does not have a computer.

Do you guys think a hand written letter from her ?

She can take picture of it with her phone , send to me via text and I print out.

Do you think that would be sufficient?

It states - Evidence of the benefiarys intent to marry may be a statement from the beneficiary, wedding preperations or other evidence that establishes her intent to marry.

Believe me I dont want to screw this up.

Thanks for any suggestions.

- Cant wait for her to wake up to tell her the good news that its an easy fix to move forward..

We were concerned it could be other timely documentation.

Thank you all - Steve

No. She needs to do it herself or you could just send her the file through email then let her print it out and sign it and send it thru FedEx. It would cost her about $30+.

Here's our Letter of Intent to Marry.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I, (beneficiary's name), declare as follows:

I am engaged to (petitioner's name), we will get married as soon as I am allowed to enter the United States on a fiancé visa, definitely within 90 days.

Sincerely Yours,

(signature over beneficiary's printed name)

THIS IS WHAT OUR LAWYER SENT US AND WE JUST SIGNED IT. It was too simple though but we got approved!

Where is your fiancee's hometown? I'm from Philippines too. Wishing you all the best! 🙏🏻😊

keyword 'simple'

Source 2: VJ User Submitted Data, with a factor to discount for those that never update their timeline respected.  It's rough math, but the bottom line is a large number of cases are yet to be approved.  (As the govt website is obviously broken, I have looked at other user submitted sources, but they seem to be less reliable than VJ - and besides, this isn't science - it's just toiling away the time by looking at how many are in the same like-circumstance).

The OP was obviously citing the VJ Timelines that were showing Approvals.  I merely replied the opposite by highlighting the still substantial number of Un-Approved petitions; however I failed to cite my source.

The point is: a March filer freaking out and worrying at this point in time is premature.  Many, MANY factors go into the adjudication process and trends say that some cases are adjudicated faster than others (i.e. age of petitioner, number of residences, similar names to background check 'hits', etc. reportedly are examples of prolongation).

I see. I missed the original OP post. :)

Hi! No, we haven't got it yet. It's been 16 days now since we got approved on June 9th. I think we should call the NVC this coming week. Oh yes sure, I will probably post here once we got the case number. 😊
