I just haven't felt like posting but I have been reading. Technically we have hardly been waiting. 100 days from notice date or 104 from received. So really whatever compared to most I shouldn't be upset. Anyway I am gonna probably just stay away for a while. Not feeling like being around. Don't get me wrong I am very happy for everyone that got their noa2s. Perhaps background checks are our hold up. I moved a lot and so did my fiancé. He felt better yesterday but was ill again today tomorrow is our last full day together and I wish it was not. This week has made me realize what a good fit we are. I am going to be a blubbering mess at the airport Sunday morning. And then on the other end driving 1.5 hours back to Canada. 

 

Hope you all all get your noa2s soon and I will be back. I just need a break. I work again Tuesday and will be working 2 jobs 9 days straight.

I think we all know the feeling. It's like being in kindergarten and having to ask the teacher to go pee, except we are adults and have to ask the teacher if we can be with our fiancee. Most couples that fall in love and get engaged just get to be with each other. For us, we get to spend a few weeks together and then have to say goodbye, not knowing if the teacher will let us be together ultimately. We then find ourselves counting down the days before our partner leaves rather than letting ourselves fully enjoy the beautiful moments together. The whole process is unethical IMO. I am sure that many a great relationship has been ruined by one too many chat miscommunications, job loss, a war that kills the fiancee (god forbid) etc, during the long wait. 

 

For all of us that make it through this horrific process, we will come out stronger on the other end.

 

Hang in there, each day we that wait, the closer we are to being with our loved ones again.

 

USCIS, if you're reading, get your a$$ in gear!

When my fiancee was here last, we did a 2000 mile road trip together to see my 90-year-old Grandmother and my Mom who wanted to meet her. I started feeling very very ill a couple minutes after heading out but I drove 1000 miles straight through anyway. When we arrived I was at death's door it felt like, so the next morning I went to the doctor who tested me positive for the flu. I ended up giving it to her and we had to call my Mom up and tell her that we had the flu and were not sure it would be safe to be around a 90-year-old person. So we camped out in a hotel for days with fevers eating soup and having horrible blowouts on the toilet. Needless to say, we got to know each other much better. We did get to see them for 1 day very cautiously.

 

I guess the point here is, these things usually bring us closer together and I know how you feel.

I hope so much NOA2 is in Scotts mailbox right now, and he finds it after work, when I get up. But I rather think it might come next week.

This stupid case tracker app.... I know it's useless, but I keep refreshing it like some tard... and every time it takes a second to much to refresh my heart skips a beat lol 
I guess if that blue bar will change to green one day... I'll just pass out lol

My F just received the NOA2 hard copy last June 22nd in the afternoon. According to our NOA2 hard copy, our NOA2 was approved last June 16th (which was stated 3 months and 3 days before it got approved) To God Be the Glory. 👆🏻🙏🏻😇 Now, we are waiting for our NVC letter. My F will start calling the NVC after next week. Hope everything will went smoothly and well specially the Medical and Interview. 😚

Hello Everyone! This is my very first post on VJ. My F submitted the packet last March 8, 2017. My F received the NOA1 hard copy last March 13, 2017. We waited patiently for 103 days before my F received the NOA2 Hard Copy last June 22nd in the U.S. It was stated there that our NOA2 got approved last June 16th (exactly 3 months and 3 days). But in the Case Tracker, our case was still like this "Case was Received". I wonder why is that. Maybe the app is not updated Or whatsoever.  Though, others can see that their case in the case tracker is already approved but haven't received the Hard Copy of NOA2 yet. So, for those who are patiently waiting for their NOA2, keep checking your mail, email and Case Tracker. Everything will be worth the wait. 😘 Anyway, we are under California Service Center. ☺️ Now, just a few more steps to go. Hope everything will go well for the Medical and Embassy Interview. 😚 God Bless Us All March Filers 2017! 👆🏻🙏🏻😇

Yeah, try to talk! Maybe you can negotiate something little out. 
I've also made it tasty for them, because I'm not a jerk like others and just throw the towel 4 weeks before and they can't react.
I said it sooooo early, so they're looking for replacement already, and I can help train them. 

If you're not working in a slavehouse or having a super jerk as landlord, I think you can get some undertstanding and support from people, since they do know what a huge step it is to go to a different continent.

I'm from Decin, basically on borders with Germany  I think it takes like 30 minutes tops to the border. 

I took Jason and even his brother to Prague and Dresden and Tropical Islands last summer and they loved it!  it was so much fun.

the problem with my job is My position is very special and I was the first one to fill it after it was created. And as I worked there, more and more work load was put on my shoulders. I think my boss doesn't even really know what all I do.  he knew from the very beginning (over year ago) what my plans are and that this is only temporary, so it makes it little easier. I think I will talk to him after I come back from the vacation. Hopefully we will be approved by then (I'm coming back august 7th) and I can try to negotiate something.

Same for me! My job was created for and by me; I'm in the company for 10 years, on my current position for about 5 years. 
I just had to make a list of what I'm doing (since it's kind of everything, not even I myself could just write it down, so a lot is missing), and we have a meeting on Tuesday.
They first wanted to just shredder it and put stuff on others, what I'm trying to avoid, because my coworkers are already bending under work load, and no one knows what I do, and what it would do to them to put my work on their shoulders. So we're in the same boat!

And I know! I'm dreading the summer time there, specially being from the North coast of Spain, where it's a rare occurrence when temperature rises above 30C. I've always visited in January-March... And I already got to experience heat one day that got me worried, lol. I'm hoping for a dry heat I can manage, because here we get very humid weather that makes high temperature seems worse than it really should feel.

Oh well... I guess I'll get to find out next year

Hehe, yeah... I feel you with summer.
All my life I've been struggling with humidity when it comes to a certain point. And now I'm moving to Americas sweating chamber of doom, haha! It's insane in Virginia... I've only visited in fall/winter, too. 
That's the only thing I'm "glad" for - skipping VA summer one last time!

We'll find ourselves whining next summer, I guess!
