Great!!! When did you guys receive your NOA2? I mean the approval date stated on the paper. We got approved June 9th. It's been 2 weeks now!

Approval date on NOA2 was 5-31. Took a little longer to get to NVC than I was expecting, but patience is a virtue :)

Finally you got your NOA2! Congrats!!!

Hopefully, we're next to receive the news, our NOA1 was March 22. My fiance and I were both feeling anxious and stressed, NOA2 is coming!!! (or RFE). Oh boy, I wish we get our answer soon. Let's keep positive March Filers! We will prevail!!

My Notice is March 22 as well and received date March 15 hopefully soon. Should I add up the notice date or received date, so confused

So, we actually received two e-mails today. One indicating that our case was received and forwarded to the embassy in Montreal. Then, we received a second one stating that the embassy in Montreal approved our request for expedited processing. We never requested expedited anything.

"The U.S. Embassy in MONTREAL, CAN approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your petition to this U.S. Embassy for their action. The Embassy will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."

Does anyone know if this is standard or what?

Just called the NVC to ask them if they've received my file from the USCIS, i got my NOA2 on the 6th of June. They haven't received it yet unfortunately. What's taking so long?

I heard they're having a massive change in the system, which is causing delays. :(

I just talked to a girl from here, who was desperately waiting for this email, so she can schedule her interview. She had requested it.
So I guess you were lucky! :)

Hello april filers! If there is. :D someone from my friends list on facebook got an approval today! I meant, her fiancé got the letter today! 😊😊 receidate was April 14! :)) Lucky 😊 just 69 days active

Wow!!! Now I know how the previous month filers must feel when later months get approved before them. I'm happy for them but can't help but think how unfair it is that someone waiting so much less than others gets approved! :(

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

I am going through Montreal as well and received the same emails yesterday.  I'm thinking the expedite is just because we were entered in the new electronic system.  At this stage.... There isn't really anything they can expedite so not sure what is the point of that email.  I think we actually had the opposite of an expedite since it took a little over a month to get a number lol

It's so amazing to see everyone get their NOA2's but at the same time it's so sad.... I just set up informed delivery today so I can at least check that everyday just in case the tracker doesn't work (which I think it's only tracking RFE's, am I right?). But I still hope and pray that we will get our NOA2 soon because each day that goes by without it just makes me more and more stressed and I wanna cry. But I'm so happy for everyone else that got their approvals. Congrats!!!! (L)

So glad to see all the approvals this week for March filers!!! Hopefully later today and possibly tomorrow bring some more through snail mail! I tried NVC again today with no luck (I figured that, but just want to try).  I am really hoping to that we can maybe get our case number before I leave for Peru next weekend.

Hi guys, I'm wondering again. In my country, when u quit you job, 2 month period starts when they look for replacement blah blah blah. Meaning u quit, but you still have to work for two months. Do I think if I quit after receiving noa2, will two months be enough to deal with everything else? Like nvc, embassy, medical....

Hey! :)

Hm, well. USCIS and the Embassy explicitely advises to not quit your place to live or your job, or make any unchangeable travel plans before you have the visa in hands.
For reasons.

Are you sure you want to quit that early? What if something takes longer or goes wrong? Some people are stuck in AP for months. Then you sit there with no job!

For me it'd be 3 months from quitting letter to last workday, but I've informed my employer 2 months ago, we have an estimated time I MIGHT leave, and I will write my quitting letter once I have my visa in my passport and can leave with only 1 month remaining, of which I have 2 weeks of remaining vacation days (ok, Germany is spoiled in that case, I have 30 for a year).

Same thing with my apartment, which I'd have to cancel 3 months before. Told my plans to my landlord and she loosened the rules down to 1 month.

Maybe you can talk to your employer to be allowed to quit with a shorter time frame?

All the best!
Bine
