I am mostly a lurker on these forums so I know that the tracker is supposedly down, so I was very surprised to see that my case was APPROVED.  Today I got a notification from the USCIS app telling me that I was approved, and was shocked because I haven't been expecting anything from the USCIS tracker.  I have had absolutely no communication with USCIS since the NOA1 (no RFEs, name/address changes).  Maybe I was extremely fortunate in this case but be sure to check your trackers and enable notifications on the apps!  I still have yet to receive an email.  I know there are others that have been waiting a lot longer than I have, I hope everyone receives their NOA2s soon.  Here are some pics to show that the tracker apparently works for some of us.  Best of luck to all of us! :)

Congrats!!!! That's great news to know the tracker is working in some cases. Hopefully it keeps working for future approvals also!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Technically, you can call whenever you want. Most likely they will give you the same verbiage that you are still within the normal processing and they are currently working on Jan 15th cases, etc. But it doesn't hurt to call so if you want to go for it! I called a week ago just out of curiosity even though I knew they would tell me exactly what they did. :)
